We offer services to individuals who may have disability-specific needs and learning difficulties. We also support a wide variety of young people who face various challenges with peers, in school, at home and within the community. In providing these services we are pleased to introduce Maureen Rangi who is our program manager and mentor. About Maureen:... Maureen is a motivated health care professional. She is driven by her innovative and strength based processes to help young people succeed in their development. Maureen brings 23 years of experience from her training as a personal fitness professional, and her background in aged care, disability and personal care. She is an active dragon boat paddler and competitor. Maureen has a strong personal drive for success. It is important to her that she focuses on the inner strengths of people she helps. She uses her ability to support and encourage people to create pathways for a successful personal journey. Maureen delivers mentoring services that are active, disability-specific, trauma and psychology informed to tackle an array of potential or existing difficulties and problems. She has natural gifts in supporting children and young people due to her warm nature, geared toward finding the best support for young people. Her program is based on her collaboration with psychologists, therapists and practitioners.

The practice room can be used in a variety of ways and reconfigured as required for: therapeutic purposes, alternative therapies, and for individuals such as psychologists counsellors, tutors, social workers, speech pathologists and any individuals requiring a quiet business or office workspace. This location is ideal as it is set in the centre of the Mt Gravatt hub close to Garden City Shopping Centres, public transport, amenities and local services. There is onsite parking available. We have expanded our team of skilled staff to include a Senior Resource Officer and her team who are skilled in training support workers in the implementation of the Positive Behaviour Support Plans (PBSPs), that are developed by our PBS Practitioners. Our resources officers have a variety of skill sets to offer such as personal training, supporting people with dual diagnos...is and supporting people to address sensory and emotional regulation requirements. This allows Abbey Health to ensure the best person is allocated to meet the participants goals.
