17.01.2022 *THE STORY BEHIND THE NAME ABBEYS BLUES* We called our small home-based breeding operation Abbeys Blues because we lost our beautiful staffy Abbey at the age of 9 to cancer. This absolutely broke us, the house was so quiet without the constant staffy chit chat from her. Every time a shy or anxious dog came into our care, she would always nudge them into her bed, wrapping herself around them and lick them so gently until they fell asleep, to which she would never move until th...ey woke up. Abbey adored the water at any chance she had. She would jump amongst the waves or swim in the local rivers. Our pool was also one of her favourite places to swim, she would run down the doggy ramp into the pool for hours. There were so many reasons why I want to become a breeder of staffys, I wanted everyone to experience the love and loyalty of a staffy. They have the biggest and most sensitive hearts, that I truly can’t get enough of. They are a combination of enthusiasm for adventure and the ability to sleep in late and take it easy.
