22.01.2022 Our 10 years in Australia has been a journey that has tested the resilience, skills and determination of our people and has confirmed the depth of our commitmen...t to regional Queensland. As we ready our business to shift into production mode in 2021, we are proud to announce that today we are officially launching Bravus Mining and Resources, the new Australian brand for our mining business. We have made a significant investment in Queensland, and we will be here for the long haul employing local people, and doing business in Australia. We will continue to stand up and deliver for the good of our community, no matter how courageous it requires us to be, and Bravus, our new name, reflects this intent.

21.01.2022 With the box-cut of our Carmichael Mine underway, we thought we would take a closer look at the open-cut mining process and how we build the mine. Bring on the next milestone!

20.01.2022 Whilst construction of the mine and rail is still underway, today we have announced that we have already delivered on our commitments to Queensland, by employin...g more than 1,500 people and awarding more than $1.5 billion in contracts on the Carmichael mine and rail Project. With construction set to continue through into 2021 we expect that the number of people employed will now well and truly exceed 1,500 direct jobs. Adani Mining CEO David Boshoff said the COVID-19 recession meant Adani’s investment was needed more than ever. We are proud to have made good on our promises to Queensland, and especially regional Queensland. We’ve created more than 1,500 jobs and signed more than $1.5 billion in contracts, Mr Boshoff said. 19.01.2022 #greatbarrierreef #climatechange #co2 #adani #mining #resources #FactsMatter Excellent video in this article, exposing the lies spread about the Great Barrier Reef and Climate Change. https://jennifermarohasy.com//reef-heresy-and-the-import/

19.01.2022 Please see below for our statement regarding the protest this morning, which can be attributed to a Bravus spokesperson: Police are onsite site removing activi...sts from the concrete plant at a Carmichael rail construction site, however work on the Carmichael Project continues on schedule. This morning an anti-fossil fuel protester has travelled more than 300km inland from the Queensland coast to a Carmichael Rail site, to protest about protecting the Great Barrier Reef. The Great Barrier Reef is more than 300km away from the Carmichael mine. Our operations must comply with Queensland’s strict environmental regulations, which means water cannot run off from our mining or construction areas or otherwise impact on water quality. Furthermore, once it becomes operational the Carmichael mine will produce 10 million tonnes of coal per year, which is a very small proportion of the coal the Australia already exports each year. "The Carmichael mine is smaller than a number of other Australian coal mines and, when the coal is used overseas, the amount of carbon dioxide that will be produced will represent less than 0.04% of Australia’s emissions and less than 0.0006% of global emissions. Over the past decade activists have unsuccessfully tried to use the Australian legal system to argue that Adani’s Carmichael mine should not be approved because of the emissions created when coal is used to generate electricity overseas and the impact that would have on the Great Barrier Reef. These challenges have been unsuccessful as the facts have spoken for themselves and construction of the mine and rail project is well underway.

18.01.2022 Did you know? The Carmichael Rail Network (CRN) is a 200km narrow gauge railway connecting Queensland’s Galilee Basin to existing rail infrastructure and the No...rth Queensland Export Terminal Australia’s most northerly export port. The construction of the CRN requires over 319,000 concrete sleepers, 27,000 tonnes of steel rail tracks, 22 bridge crossings, 460 culverts and hundreds of jobs for regional Queenslanders.

18.01.2022 #auspol #qldpol #greatbarrierreef #coral #bleaching #cots #sediment #mining #abbotpoint #factsmatter Scientific cancel culture exposed An inquiry into Great Barrier Reef farming yields remarkable confessions as institutions are challenged by evidence.... By PETER RIDD The Senate committee inquiry into the regulation of farm practices impacting water quality on the Great Barrier Reef has yielded some remarkable confessions by science institutions about the state of the reef. It has been the first time many of the scientists have been asked difficult questions and publicly challenged by hard evidence. They have been forced out of their bubble. It was revealed by Paul Hardisty, boss of the Australian Institute of Marine Science, that only 3 per cent of the reef, the inshore reefs, is affected by farm pesticides and sediment. He also stated that pesticides, are a low to negligible risk, even for that 3 per cent. The other 97 per cent, the true offshore Great Barrier Reef, mostly 50km to 100km from the coast, is effectively totally unharmed by pesticides and sediment. https://www.theaustralian.com.au//5e12533a9593e7fd93579cd9

"Far too frequently, climate science has demonstrated noble cause corruption where the ends justify the means. We will only know exact coral calcification rates, and changing trends in coral cover, when our once esteemed research institutions return to more traditional methods of measuring such important indicators of coral health and growth.... We need a return to real science that is based on real observations and real measurements and then we may find written in journals what we see in the real world when we jump off boats and go under the sea." https://www.theaustralian.com.au//3b910197797f59e3761d1c9e

12.01.2022 The first delivery of concrete sleepers for the 200km Carmichael Rail Network are on their way. Only 250,000 sleepers left to go!

11.01.2022 Adani has launched civil legal proceedings against anti-fossil fuel activist, Ben Pennings, to protect our rights, as well as those of our employees and contrac...tors, to carry out legal and legitimate business activities free from intimidation and harassment. This action has not been taken lightly, but is needed to ensure our business can continue to deliver jobs and opportunities to regional Queensland communities at a time when they were needed most. The civil legal action seeks to limit the campaign of harassment and intimidation orchestrated by Mr Pennings against our business that aims to prevent us from legally and legitimately pursuing our commercial interests. This is not about inflicting hardship on Mr Pennings or about limiting free speech, but rather we are protecting our rights to carry out our business and give regional Queenslanders a fair go in terms of jobs and contracting opportunities. 10.01.2022 Our ecological experts have been studying the Black-throated Finch since 2012! Thanks to our research program, more is known about these beautiful little birds ...than has ever been known before. For the next phase of our research program we will be tracking 40 of these little guys to learn more about their migration and movement patterns. We will also be learning about their favourite seeds and drinking receptacles. (We hear the Clermont pub is a popular hang-out for the finch). Rather than refer to each finch by a letter or number, we reached out to some students at Mackay Northern Beaches State High School for their help coming up with some creative names. Stay tuned to find out more about Phil, Lil’ Bil, Cap’n Jack Finch, Atticus, Zoro and Flit (and the 34 others) over the next few months!

09.01.2022 A small group of anti-mining protesters decided to set up camp on a public road leading to our mine site this morning. They know they can’t stop our project now... that we have started work in the open cut mine and are about to begin laying the railway track. Their previous legal challenges and protests to stop the project have all failed. The happy campers do not represent the W&J native title claimants. Police have driven for about an hour to reach the site to ask the campers to unblock the road. This type of protest is a pointless sideshow that wastes police resources when they are needed elsewhere, and has no impact on the construction schedule for our mine or rail projects. We have been working closely with all of the Traditional Owner groups on our project for many years, including with legitimate native title claimants from the W & J native title party who voted 294 to 1 in support of the Indigenous Land Use agreement with Adani in 2016.

08.01.2022 In case you missed the announcement, last Friday we officially reached peak of construction and we currently have over 2,000 people working on our Carmichael Mi...ne and Rail sites. That’s more than 2,000 real jobs, for real people. As we have always said, people, not robots drive our trucks and excavators, fix engines in our workshops, maintain the conveyor belts and cook the meals for our hard working staff.

07.01.2022 #DidYouKnow Qld Government testing shows no environmental harm to Caley Valley Wetlands. Queensland Department of Environment and Science published a monitoring progress report that showed no signs of environmental harm in the Caley Valley Wetlands the nationally important wetland adjacent to, and downstream of, the Port of Abbot Point.... The report detailed three rounds of sediment and water testing from October 2018 to March 2019, and found the wetland to be in good health with its environmental values intact. This is a welcome result for every one of Abbot Point Operations’ 180 employees. "As local people we are dedicated to the wellbeing of this community, and work enormously hard to balance our environmental responsibilities with the trade impacts of being a major export port." "We have invested more than $25.5 million in significant water infrastructure projects to improve our environmental management outcomes since Severe Tropical Cyclone Debbie hit in 2017. Examples of that investment completed or underway include technology that allows us to monitor water quality in real time; capital works to increase the capacity of our water storage ponds; and the installation of a fully automated flocculant dosing plant to improve the quality of the water captured in those ponds. Other works involved the build of new piping and pump facilities to better manage periods of extreme rainfall, and the upgrade of concrete bunding around the terminal. There is nothing better than to see this work reflected in the Department’s report and in positive environmental outcomes for the Caley Valley Wetlands." 06.01.2022 Data from Queensland’s ports shows that Queensland’s resources sector continues to break records, with 226 million tonnes of coal exported to customers across t...he world in FY19-20. We are please to announce that the Abbot Point Operations (APO) team contributed a total of 31.96 million tonnes of coal to Queensland’s recording-breaking throughput year with APO breaking their own loading record by a whopping 3.02 million tonnes. This tremendous result comes on the heels of the Queensland Department of Environment and Science monitoring progress report that showed no signs of environmental harm in the Caley Valley Wetlands - a welcome result for every one of APO’s 180 employees.

01.01.2022 #auspol #climatechange #globalwarming #co2 #warming #cooling #fossilfuels #mining #adani #abbotpoint #renewables #FactsMatter Excellent video. We know the environmental movement here and around the world are running on alarmism and hysteria. Yes, it is very much like a religion. "Religion of Green"... "Has environmentalism become more than just a good faith effort to protect the Earth? Is it now tantamount to a religion? And if it is, is that a good thing or a bad thing? PragerU’s latest short documentary, hosted by Will Witt, explores the origins, agenda, and motives of today’s environmental movement. What he finds raises some challenging questions for anyone who sincerely cares about the future of the planet." https://www.youtube.com/watch

01.01.2022 The 300-strong Martinus rail team has been busy at work assembling the flashbutt welding yard for the 200km Carmichael Rail Network. Wondering what a flashbutt ...welding yard is? Well, this is where the strings of rail for the rail track are welded together prior to being taken out to site ready to be installed on concrete sleepers. If you look closely you may be able to spot the concrete sleeper laying machine in action getting ready for the track! See more
