25.01.2022 An enormous thank you to every member of our community who kindly donated to our 'Sustain the Convent' fundraising appeal. Through such a very challenging time as we continue to navigate the impacts of the pandemic and changing restrictions for our precinct and community, we have been inspired and incredibly grateful for the generosity shown by so many individuals and valued partners. Thanks to the support of so many of you, alongside our amazing funding partner, the Lord Ma...yor's Charitable Foundation, we are thrilled to have surpassed our stretch target of $120,000. This is a very valuable contribution, providing direct and essential support to the Convent through this public health crisis and beyond. Your donations will go towards covering the ongoing essential extra costs we are incurring right now as a direct result of the pandemicincluding heightened site-wide cleaning regimes and increased securityas well as assisting us to support our tenant community. We remain humbled and heartened by the generous, caring spirit of the Convents donor communityand we are enormously grateful to be embarking on this next chapter of repair and regenerationwith your support. A heartfelt thanks from the Abbotsford Convent Foundation team and Board. https://bit.ly/SustainTheConvent Open Spaces 2016, Charlie Kinross

11.01.2022 Our plant of the month this August is the 'Acacia baileyana' or Cootamundra Wattle. It is very hardy, suited to most climates and soils and grows best in full sun. But do beware, the plant has become naturalised and has a tendency to become a weed so it shouldnt be grown near bushland.
