06.01.2022 Introducing our new principal - Stanley Wang - Stanley is a Taiwanese-Australian raised and educated in Melbourne. He is a language fanatic, a keen traveller, and a passionate educator. ... Stanley began his career as a school teacher through the Teach For Australia program in 2012, for which he was sent to Charles La Trobe College to set up a brand new Mandarin program. In 2015, he became the Head of Languages at Haileybury, where he led a team of more than 75 language teachers across 10+ sites in the Asia-Pacific region. He has served as the Vice President of Modern Language Teachers Association of Victoria, a tutor for language teaching at the Melbourne Graduate School of Education, as well as been named one of the "Rising Stars - The Next Generation of Educational Leaders" by The Educator Australia magazine in 2016. 2012 (Teach For Australia) (Charles La Trobe College)2015 (Haileybury)10+752016 In recent years, Stanley took some time off to travel around the world and completed a career chapter in Taiwan where he led Teach For Taiwan as the interim CEO. It was also in Taiwan where Stanley met his now wife, Yen-Yu, and got married. Stanley speaks English, Mandarin, and Japanese fluently, and has varying degrees of proficiency in 3-4 other languages. Stanley has a BA in Linguistics and Japanese, a BCom in Economics, a Master of Teaching (Secondary) and a Master of Social Sciences in Nonprofit Management. 3-4 Stanley also has a real passion for good food and coffee.
