22.01.2022 Heres a photo to bring back memories of the days before washing machines were invented. I can still remember our wash house and the early morning activity on ...Monday (which was usually wash day). Mum would be up early and dad would have set the fire ready to boil the copper. The copper would be filled with water and once the water was boiling the whites would go in first, allowed to boil before being taken out with a long wooden stick and placed into one of the double cement troughs. There was also the blue-ing process, blue blocks inside small material sacks (was it Reckitts Blue?) and then put through the wringer which had a big handle. 21.01.2022 Another tip is to always leave the door slightly ajar, that way air can get in and stops the mould from forming on the seal.

16.01.2022 Remove the lint from dryer! This is one of the top ten reasons for home fires!!! This is really scary. Pass this on to your friends and family. I use to leave the house with a load in the dryer but now I am to paranoid. Be the reason someone smiles today :)

02.01.2022 Tip of the day, If your clothes are coming out with dirty marks on them then this is what to try before calling me... Fill your machine with hot water and add 1 litre of homebrand white vinegar, set your normal cycle with no clothes in the machine let it agitate for 5 minutes and then pause it and let it soak for half an hour and then let it go through its complete cycle on its own. What this does is cleans the other side of the bowl that you cant get to. You can also use Bi-Carb or Epsom salts. To see if its working just watch the water coming out on the 1st drain, it should be grubby.
