22.01.2022 Check out these gorgeous Tassie Devils in the snow at Devils at Cradle Watch them have a go at building a snowman, dig for food, sniff the air and then one... little cutie goes exploring all by himself Devils @ Cradle is a world class wildlife conservation facility at Tasmania’s premier wilderness destination. The spectacular and pristine wilderness of Cradle Mountain is home to the mysterious and secretive Tasmanian Devil. Whilst the sanctuary concentrates primarily on the Tasmanian devil, it is also home to the closely related Spotted-tail and Eastern quolls. Tasmania’s three largest carnivorous marsupials are all now threatened in one way or another in the wild. Open DAY and NIGHT every day, Devils @ Cradle offer a range of experiences, from General Entry and DAY KEEPER tours through the day, to the AFTER DARK FEEDING and DINE WITH THE DEVIL tours in the evening. An experienced Tasmanian Devil Keeper will give you an accurate understanding of their lifecycles and the current threats that confront them, such as Devil Facial Tumour Disease. Devils @ Cradle consider this aspect of their work a valuable tool in the education of the general public, and an important part of the conservation efforts. Don’t miss your chance to visit Devils@Cradle you’ll be pleased you did. We love to share your Tassie videos, photos and stories with the world You can inbox us or post to our wall. 21.01.2022 Mt Olympus, in the Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park, looking absolutely majestic on today's chilly winter morning thanks to pilot Dan from Par Avion ...who says "The snow-capped peaks of Tasmania are best viewed from the sky!" At 1,472 metres above sea level Mt Olympus is situated 4 km's west of Lake St Clair. The Olympus Range is located just south of those wonderful mountains that arc to Mt Gould, the Labyrinth and the Ducane Range. They stand high above the surrounding plains and Lake St Clair. The range has two key summits (Mt Olympus north and south, both of similar height), some truly amazing mountain lakes and should be on the list for any serious mountain enthusiast who enjoys a challenging walk. To find out more about this pretty special bushwalk click on the link below thanks to Bog Holes and Bucket Hats: https://bogholesandbuckethats.com//19/mt-byron-and-olympus/ You can also follow Par Avion and Bog Holes and Bucket Hats via instagram (links below): www.instagram.com/paraviontas www.instagram.com/bogholesbuckethats We love to share your Tassie videos, photos and stories with the world You can inbox us or post to our wall. 19.01.2022 "Fall in Love with Mondays and the week Falls in Love with You" There are also plenty of places in Tassie to Fall in Love with! You have to see this amazing ...view from Cape Raoul to believe it, there are man ferns galore alongside this beautiful stream on the walk into St. Columba Falls, if you do the Overland Track and opt for the ferry back - you will be delighted with this view of Lake St Clair, a morning walk on the main beach at the aptly named Penguin is a must do and you will be blown away by the beauty of Halls Falls. Go on a journey to the little known and abandoned Mt Paris Dam, wait to you see The Royal Hotel which still stands in the ghost town of Linda, take in the ‘Mirror Sunset’ from the Hobart waterfront, contemplate the achievements of ascending Moraine A in the Western Arthurs over a stunning sunset and we know you will love finding some wallaby prints in the snow leading to an icy lake in the Walls of Jerusalem National Park. Oh and did we mention an epic view from Australia’s most southern coastline, a gorgeous Scottish Highland Cow that simply says ‘Moo! and we share just how beautiful Guide Falls is at night!
