25.01.2022 You can often be so kind to others, but so harsh on yourself. Today see if you can make one change. How could you be kinder on yourself? For Mental Health Week, we've been joined by Port Lincoln Psychotherapist Jenny Podorozhnaya, who has been sharing tips and tricks to improve your mental fitness each day on the brekkie show. Maybe you remember a bully's mean words, the parting criticism from an ex or the snide remarks from a family member, and you repeat them back when you'...re feeling down. If your inner voice sometimes says things like 'why are you so stupid/fat/uncoordinated?' or 'why did you do that again you idiot' Jenny says try to change that voice. "Look at it with compassion and curiosity, openness, acceptance and love instead of judgement," she said. If you need to talk to someone about your mental health, try Beyond Blue on 1300 22 4636 or take a look at our local Mentally Fit EP group's page.
