Daryl Murray, aged 30, was last seen at a Borral Street residence around 1pm on Saturday.... It’s believed he left the house and travelled to Townsville City and hasn’t had contact with his family since. Police and his family hold concerns for his welfare. Daryl is described as an Aboriginal man, around 180cm tall, of a medium build with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a Chicago Bulls jersey and khaki-coloured pants.

About 60% of Queenslanders pre-polled this election which meant shorter lines at polling places, but less in the jar for the schools holding fundraising sausage sizzles. At Townsville Central State School, the BBQ was fired up early.... Lucy Downes from the school’s P and C, said due to coronavirus their fundraising is down by 60% this year so they were determined to get their democracy sausage sizzle happening. The crowds aren’t what we are used to seeing, however those that have been coming through are so appreciative, they love seeing the kids working at their maths skills at the cash draw, Ms Downes said. Ms Downes said they have had to be a bit inventive this year to figure out ways to fundraise in a COVID-safe way. It is just a matter of thinking outside the box, Ms Downes said. 16.01.2022 Tassal's Proserpine prawn farm, Australia's biggest, is set to harvest a massive 4,000 tonnes of this coming season, including some stock from other farms. The Rural Report visited and spoke with David Wood from the company, which has finished stage 3 of a $100m expansion, adding another 80 hectares of ponds to the Gregory River property. So far, approvals have been granted to establish a total of 455 hectares of ponds, but ultimately Tassal wants to harvest 20,000 tonnes annually by 2030 by expanding further onto neighbouring Exmoor Station, which is now owns.

Lucy Wieland raised $55,000 for treatment costs for her fraudulent battle with terminal ovarian cancer in 2018. The boy was last seen at the Riverway Precinct on Friday afternoon.... Police and his family hold concern for his welfare as he suffers from a medical condition. His disappearance is also out of character. He is 160cm tall with short brown hair. He was last seen wearing a brown shirt, navy blue shorts and a yellow and blue bucket hat. They’ve arrested 23 people and laid 192 charges as part of a major drug-trafficking sting. The houses, in Kirwan and Giru, were set up to manufacture methylamphetamine or ice. ...
