19.01.2022 Its pretty poor practice to push back targets by 5 years if you are in business. I see the federal government has just done that with its pollution reduction targets for the Great Barrier Reef. Its another critically important conservation issue for the whole nation. Will UNESCO list it as "World Heritage Site In Danger"? See http://www.smh.com.au//great-barrier-reef-now-rated-poor-2

02.01.2022 In September we completed a three week project at the Institute of Business Studies in Port Moresby. Richard Morgan, through Abercrombie & Morgan, provided strategic advice to the Executive Chairman, Mick Nades MBE, and his senior academic and administrative staff in the areas of: internet speed improvement and cloud computing, reaccreditation with the PNG Office of Higher Education, AusAid funding, operational management and enrolment retention and growth strategies.

02.01.2022 The Australian Labor Government's attempt to deliver on its Kyoto commitments is confusing and unsettling for business. Firstly we were told by the then PM, Ms Gillard, that there will be no Carbon Tax, then she introduced one set at $23 a tonne whilst the European economy collapsed and the floating world-price per tonne quickly reduced. Now we are told by new PM, Mr Rudd, to expect an emissions trading scheme with a floating price. Any savings are based on the $5-6 per tonne price that is current but won't last. Businesses and households should do their own risk assessment and be ready for no savings at all. As a nation, as a region, we do need to agree on how best to cut our emissions - common sense is needed - pollution is a cost to our health and the environment.
