23.01.2022 Hope all athletes & their families had a safe & happy Easter. Now that the school holidays are upon us, don't forget to keep active and be ready for the start of the new season later this year. If we all stay positive and practice good hygiene and social distancing we will all come through this pandemic and hopefully sport will be able to resume.

23.01.2022 Just a reminder that Harrison Oval will be CLOSED from 6th July - for 4 to 6 weeks - whilst an underground watering system is installed.

18.01.2022 Harrison Oval is still currently closed. There will be a meeting at the oval this coming Friday, 18th September, 2020, at 6pm. All previous and intending members are invited to attend. A decision will be made if our club will be able to run for the upcoming 2020/21 season due to the strict Covid-19 restrictions being enforced for our sport. We are looking for volunteers to take on the roles of Covid-19 Safety Co-ordinator and a safety officer. Without these positions being fulfilled the club will be unable to operate. Hoping for a good response this Friday, remember 6pm at Harrison Oval.

15.01.2022 I have been advised by a parent trying to register on line that Aberdeen's on-line registrations are not working. I tried to get it rectified on Friday but it is still not working - I will try again when LANSW re-opens on Monday 12 October. If you are interested in competition the Fearnley Dawes Athletic Track has a 2020 Hunter Region Summer Series starting on 17 October 2020 for athletes aged 6 years to Masters. Check out their website. At this stage I have not had written confirmation from UHSC when Harrison Oval will re-open. Hopefully we can start our regular Friday night competition by the end of October, continue till Christmas then have the 2nd half resume Term 1 until end of March 2021. 10.01.2022 Just a reminder. Harrison Oval is still CLOSED. Today it looked like they might have been seeding the areas on the oval that had been dug up for the watering system.

08.01.2022 Just a reminder that Harrison Oval is still CLOSED whilst the underground watering system is being installed. Due to this, and COVID-19, the Committee will be calling a meeting next month (September) before the start of the school holidays to see if enough volunteers will be available to carry out all the requirements of COVID-19. Watch this page for date of meeting. In the meantime, respect social distancing and STAY SAFE!!!

07.01.2022 Just a reminder. Meeting tonight, 6pm, Harrison Oval to see if enough interest & commitment from prospective families to run under the COVID-19 regulations. We need: Harrison Oval re-opened; at least 1 but preferably 2 Covid Safety Officers & 1 or 2 assistant Safety Officers, someone to run the Canteen. Without these positions filled we cannot run!!!! All families that were registered last season should have received an email last night detailing what is required, with attachments explaining what is required under the current Covid regulations. 05.01.2022 Thanks to those that attended the meeting on Friday night. Harrison Oval is still closed, however we did get two parents offer to take on a joint COVID-19 Safety Officer role - thanks Michael Roughan & Adam Morrison. This will allow our club to start to get paperwork completed, submitted to LANSW then, hopefully, approval to take on-line registrations in the near future for the 2020-21 season. Stay tuned, we will keep a record of progress on this page. Thanks again to those that attended on Friday night. Your support is greatly appreciated!

04.01.2022 Just letting everyone know that Council has advised that Harrison Oval will be closed for 4 to 6 weeks from 6 July whilst they install an underground watering system. As to when Little Athletics can resume will depend on: advice from Little Athletics NSW as well as our Club fulfilling the Council's requirements which include: revised terms & conditions for each booking will need to be signed and re-submitted; COVID-19 Safety Plan; COVid-19 Safety Co-Ordinator nominated by each user group & that person to complete the COVID-19 awareness course & an endorsed letter from our governing body, LANSW OR insurer supporting user groups to return to sport/training.
