25.01.2022 UPDATE - GROUND RE-DEVELOPMENT The club is pleased to announce our Clifton Park oval re-development is in its final stages and looking better than ever! The ground is on track and set to be available in April for the footy season. Watch this space!

24.01.2022 NEW COACH ALERT! We're thrilled to announce that Trent Cummings has been appointed as our Senior Women’s coach for 2021. Having an outstanding football background as a player and coach, Trent is a 4th generation indigenous AFL player playing at the highest level at Fitzroy and the West Coast Eagles until he was forced to retire in 1996 due to injury. Trent most recently coached our Aberfeldie U12 girls to a premiership in their inaugural year. Trent embodies our club's phil...osophy and will be a fabulous acquisition to our program. We are pleased to also advise that Walshy will be involved as an assistant to Trent. Bill will be coaching our Div 1 team, also working very closely with Trent. Scott will remain as our senior women’s footy operations manager. There are still a few more roles to fill but we are very well placed with our key roles filled for 2021 and can't wait to kick off the season! #yearoftherilla

Following a year like no other, the Aberfeldie Sports Club is seeking expressions of interest for the role of Head Coach for our 2019 premiership winning Senior Women’s Football team for the 2021 EDFL season. The club is looking for an experienced coach to lead our women’s football program, coaching the Premier Division side in their third season, following an undefeated 2019 season.... As a leading sports club in the North-Western suburbs, Aberfeldie embraces community through fair, inclusive and respectful participation in sport. This is a unique opportunity for a Head Coach who is passionate about leading women’s football in the community, to join a thriving local sporting organisation. Applications can be made by submitting your coaching and relevant professional experience to Alison Crabb ([email protected]). The successful candidate will be remunerated consistent with experience. 07.01.2022 CHAIRMAN UPDATE - GROUND RESTRICTIONS We are delighted to inform our members that the new playing surface at Clifton Park is nearing completion. This is a fantastic outcome for our club and should see the Aberfeldie ground equal to any playing surface in the EDFL.... Whilst work is nearly completed, the ground surface will require some time to sufficiently take to the base, so it is critical that no one enters the ground until this has been achieved. We ask our members, families and supporters, to please respect the club by refraining from entering the ground until it has been officially opened. Any member caught on the surface prior to the official opening may risk having their membership revoked. We anticipate the time frame to be mid to late April. Our first fixtured home game (April 24th) with Avondale Heights may need to be moved if the ground has not ready. We will keep you informed of the progress. We will also be holding a Back to Aber's function on the 20th of Feb at the Jack Charmers Pavilion Clifton Park (Covid restrictions allowing) as an opportunity to reunite our people who are the strength and success of our great club. Bob was Football Committee Member 1962, 1963, 1967, 1968 Football Open Age Selection Committee Member 1964, 1966 Football Club President 1964, 1965, 1966 Apart from his significant contribution as a President and committee member, Chico is responsible for the best ...theme song in the EDFL COME ALONG AND SEE THE MIGHTY ABERS The Aberfeldie sports club pass on our sincere sympathies to the Crowley families and all of Roberts friends.
