22.01.2022 CHILD CARE / ELC INFO - Important message for those who have children enrolled in an early learning or child care centre. DONT UN-ENROL them to save money. The...res actually financial support you can receive... There is so much uncertainty in the world at the moment and so many people are losing their jobs, please dont add your child's educators to that list. Talk to your centre/educator first. There are a number of things in place from the government to help families and to stop child care services from going bankrupt but these measures are only helpful if the children STAY ENROLLED. Firstly, if you or your partner has lost their job or had your wages cut, you can go on to your MyGov page and apply for temporary financial hardship. This means that the government may pay your childcare fees in FULL for 13 weeks. The government has also committed to paying the CCS portion of the fees in the event that the services do go in to lock down. What this means for services is that we can keep paying our educators, our rent, etc etc etc. It means that at the end of all of this, there will be services (FDC services and centres) to send your children to. Speak to your Centre Director and Family Day Care Educator. Find out your options, BEFORE just pulling your children out.

20.01.2022 We are a multicultural and inclusive service. Every day is a celebration for families and their cultural backgrounds. To highlight this multiculturalism we would like to invite all families to participate in our multicultural week - Monday 7th to Friday 11th September 2020. Some ideas your child will be participating in may include the following: Your child is more than welcome to come to childcare and dress up in traditional costumes, or a photo of your child wearing traditi...onal costume. A photo of your child eating food representing their culture. Books displaying varied cultural backgrounds, eg; a story book Any other items, flags (or picture of) or photos that represent your culture that you might like to share. Sampling a variety of different foods that we will provide as part of our menu for the week.

19.01.2022 Dear families We appreciate all families who continue to bring in a piece of fruit to share. However, with the current circumstances I would like to ask families to provide any of the staples below, in lieu of the fruit. We source our fruits and vegetables from a local business and supplies are plentiful (at this point in time).... So please feel free to provide one item for the week from the following: Packets of seasonings and spices Bottle of sauce tomato, soy sauce, oyster sauce Pasta Rice Canned tomatoes Canned fruit Vegetable stock, beef stock, chicken stock French Onion Soup Mix Weetbix Long Life Milk emergency use only (Toilet rolls/hand sanitiser ) Thank you for your assistance.

19.01.2022 Dear Families This is a reminder we will have no power in our service from 8am to 3pm tomorrow. It is also expected to be around 30 Celsius and obviously we will have no air conditioning either. If your child is in and we find the lack of air conditioning is compromising your childs well being, ... we will contact you to come and collect your child immediately. If you can make alternative arrangements for your childs care for tomorrow please let us know. We still have some vacancies on Thursday and Friday if you would like to swap your session. Please note all families are not being charged for using care at the present time. If you require any assistance please let us know. Kind regards, Gina and Sandi

15.01.2022 To All Families, We are looking to place an order for raincoats for the children who want to participate in outside play when it is raining. The raincoats will be kept at the centre so they are always here when needed. The raincoats will be fluoro lime as pictured in the attachment, and can be ordered in KS (Kid Size 57cm chest) or YS (Youth Size 62cm chest). The youth size is quite good for the Kindy children as it almost comes to their feet, keeping them quite well cov...ered (although this will likely be too big for the smaller children). The cost will be $15.40 each. (This is the price we are being charged, we will not be adding any additional cost). Please respond by Friday 5th June if you would like to purchase one, and what size you would like. If you choose to purchase, the charge will be added to your account once the stock arrives. On wet days, please also send a pair of rubber boots and a beanie with your child so they can enjoy puddles and outside play. This purchase is optional, not an expectation

14.01.2022 Reminder as we approach the holiday period, if your child is finishing care or taking holidays you are required to give a minimum of 2 week’s notice. If you already know what will be your child’s last day, please advise us now (even if it is the end of January). If your child will not be returning after Christmas, we require 2 week’s notice before we close on 24th December (ie: by Friday 11th December). Failure to give this notice may result in the 2 week’s being charged in... lieu of notice. Likewise, if your child will be absent and you are wanting to claim the half price holiday rate for the first week or two when we re-open in January, the 2 week notice deadline is Friday 11th December. This information is really important to enable us to roster staff appropriately and we appreciate your support. Thank you to those families who have already let us know. Kind Regards,
