17.01.2022 For the month of November, staff at Aberfoyle Hub R-7 School will be fundraising for the Movember charity. The guys will be attempting to grow their best moustache, while the girls will be walking/running 60km (or a combination of both ). The Movember charity helps fund numerous mens health initiatives. In a year that has been so hard on our wider community, we are all enthusiastic to get behind this cause to raise funds and awareness. 16.01.2022 Up until week 4 of this term in performing arts lessons, students across the year levels have been learning about the ‘form and elements’ that make up the structure of the 2020 program song, You Won’t Bring Us Down. They have been involved in making music during a series of lessons that have served to unlock the art and craft of song writing, allowing students to build their skills and confidence. On Celebration Day, Thursday the 5th of November, at approximately 12:00, o...ur whole school came together in the hall to sing, move, play instruments and be part of this nation - wide live streamed musical event. Students had to keep in time with a large group of people but they certainly rose to the challenge on the day with pleasing results. Unbeknownst to them, they were participating with thousands of other students across Australia all singing the same song, on the same day, at the same time! And what a surprise for us to see this on the big screen during the live stream.
