24.01.2022 We give thanks for the love, support and service of long time staff member Colleen Wood. After beginning work, alongside her husband Allen Wood, at St Teresa's College in 1989, Colleen's family and work life has been interwoven into the fabric of Abergowrie. We give thanks for the gift of Colleen, Allen and the Wood Family. May Colleen know the harvest of her faithfulness, kindness and goodness and now enjoy the next chapter in her life.

24.01.2022 This weekend we had an end of year break up for the YCS(Young Christian Society)on the Strand in Townsville. The See Judge Act model, used by YCS, is a framework that our students use to focus on social justice issues and develop an action plan. Congratulations to Gowrie students for their social justice initiatives in 2020, in the areas of recycling, student well being and caring for the environment.

23.01.2022 The Gowrie family presented Mr and Mrs Weka with a hand made patchwork quilt in memory of Mr Torres Weka. Students and staff wrote messages and illustrated a square that were then sewn together. Many thanks to friend of the College, Ms Jackie Flanagan and Sue from Ingham Janome shop, who volunteered their time to quilt the squares.

21.01.2022 Thank you to Ms. Natalie Tuffs (Transition Support Teacher) and staff at Lockhart State School for sending these Boarder Supporter t shirts thanking our Residential Staff for looking after Year 9 student, Joseph Pascoe. Mr. Kris Reid who works closely with Joseph in Ryan Residence was happy to model these shirts.

21.01.2022 We celebrate the goodness of Ms Lorna and ask God's blessing as she continues on the road of life into retirement with her husband and family. May the love that is in our hearts be a bond that unites us, as Gowrie family forever, wherever we may be. Thank you for 37 years of service to St Teresa's College community.

17.01.2022 We give thanks for Mr Des Dufficey, a staff member who works tirelessly behind the scenes to support others in their roles. Des has spent 25 years working in the finance department, quietly helping and giving. He is a man who looks for little praise, but today, we acknowledge his humility, passion and commitment to the Gowrie family. We wish Des good health, happiness and God's blessings.

08.01.2022 Congratulations to Lorna and Michael Ryan on their 50th Wedding Anniversary. Wishing you every blessing on your anniversary and for the years ahead. We love these photos including Ms Elaine Morganson as the flower girl. Love the Gowrie Family And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. 1 Corinthians 13:13

08.01.2022 Congratulations to our newly elected 2021 College Leaders

05.01.2022 A quick look over the last week for our Seniors at St Teresa's College

01.01.2022 After rearing Barramundi for the past 2 terms, on Tuesday 24th November, Year 11 Aquaculture students received the clean bill of health for their fish from James Cook University Aquatic Vet Dr Leo Foyle. We were then able to release the fish into the Gowrie Creek through a partnership with Ingham Rod & Reel Club. Some of the larger fish were tagged before being released so if they are caught they can be identified as ours. Well done to the Year 11 students in caring for and raising such fit and healthy animals! Thank you to Leo and Bethany for volunteering their time and expertise in assessing our fishes health and to Blaine Marsh and Paul Dametto from Ingham Rod & Reel Club for donating their time to tag and release the fish. Good luck to our Barra brothers - out in the big wild world now!
