23.01.2022 Something to brighten your dayA gorgeous image of the Koolangka Bridge displaying Perth’s permanent rainbow in all its glory, looking back to Kings Park and the Perth CBD beyond. Thanks MKZimagery for the photo, we are so happy with the result of our design concept by Fratelle and BEAM architects for Perth Children's Hospital Foundation
22.01.2022 Amazing light at Matilda Bay early this morning. I have construction progress photography to do first up nearby and then a corporate portrait shoot in a cafe. And why not? Lots of good business is conducted over a cuppa coffee. It shows this couple are community aware. OK... off I go.
21.01.2022 Underground Mining Exhibition and Conference last week. Shooting for Underground Blasting Specialists - ENEAX. They were a great team to work for. #mininglife #undergroundblasting

20.01.2022 Mr Grumpy on Valentine’s Day Without fail, every year on Valentine’s Day Mr Grumpy has bought me red roses and a card. That’s 36 years. This year is no different: but Mr G is in a bit of a strop call it low dudgeon because these days, at least at our local florist, bunches of roses are sold in tens. For Mr G, the romantic tradition is a dozen red roses not, quote, ‘ten of the bloody things’. Mr G is not a happy grumpy because he still adheres to ancient units of measure.... He was very popular when we lived in America because some of our friends there believed that anyone who measured in kilos had to be a communist. Here, of course, our Australian friends laugh at him. But Mr G is at pains to point out that, even here, the weight of newborn babies is usually expressed in pounds and ounces, and many people use the expression ‘missed by miles’. What’s more, Mr G insists, anyone who plays cricket on a 22-yard pitch, plays on the ancient English measure of a ‘chain’ while the width of the crease from bowling to batting crease was based on the old English measure of an ‘ell’. Our national sport is determined by units of medieval English measurement. My Mr Grumpy is full of useless information like this. But he’s also a wonderful romantic. The combination makes him interesting, even if a little complicated. Still, in 36 years I have never been bored. And I’ve always had roses on Valentine’s Day. I don’t care if it’s only ten and I don’t pay any attention when Mr G goes on about the length of cricket pitches. Who gives a toss? Haha. But I do love him

18.01.2022 HAPPY NEW YEAR from Abigails Bears. After a couple of bears showed me up with bad behaviour before Christmas, (see Mr Grumpy post), Boozy bear is not behaving any better having celebrated New Year a little too hard.
18.01.2022 This might be useful - found it a while back somewhere... sorry can't remember where!

09.01.2022 This week: the Pinnacle towers in South Perth opposite the Zoo. The poor project manager had to run around for more than an hour turning on all those lights for me! It was worth it in the end I think.
09.01.2022 Images taken for a Queensland company, Structural Dynamics, recently. It was great to get a credit too for this image plus the two on the next page.
08.01.2022 Monica came for corporate headshots last week and brought Taco along - her most delightful, sweet dog. It wasn't long before he was centre of my camera's attention ;) Monica Cazzamani Bona
08.01.2022 Yesterday morning the alarm went off at five: way too early for me but there was a pool waiting to be photographed at Observation Rise in Scarborough where we lived for five and half years. The pool and gym have just had a $300,000 facelift and it looks super.
08.01.2022 Finished covering a seven hour event at 2pm today. Quick change round of batteries and cards etc and now off to cover another four hour event at PCEC. All go for some :)

This image hadto be filed within half an hour of the event in a place with little service and slow wifi - in the village. No stress
