18.01.2022 Congratulations to Ethan, on finishing his apprenticeship late last year (Certificate arrived today) .. We aren't sure when the last apprentice went through a full apprenticeship at Abingdon, but Ethan is the first in our time there, and him being our son makes it a little more special. :)

16.01.2022 Abingdon Motors has had a long tradition of re-manufacturing parts that are no longer available. Currently we have a client in need of replacement winder handle knobs, for his early 1930s Morris Major. 3 of the original knobs are missing, but luckily the 4th is still on the car, and in good condition. Therefore we were able to use that as our master, and cast replacements from it. The following photos work through the process we used to do this, over the past 24 hours...

12.01.2022 We would like to thank everyone who has supported us over the last 12 months. As many of you are aware, we made some major changes to Abingdon last year, and although there were some hiccups along the way, it has resulted in the most productive year we have had, since taking over the business in 2017. In the last few months, we have working on our website, uploading an additional 3500+ items to our online store, and changing the store index structure. Although we still hav...e approx. another 4000 items to upload, we are happy to say our MGB catalogue is fully online, with an exploded view search feature. We hope to have all the catalogue up, for the other models by Christmas. This week we have created new Apparel and Regalia stores, which are now up and running, featuring a new range of caps, scarves, badges, and of course we also have MG Logo face masks to keep up with current trends Thank you all again, and stay tuned as we will have another announcement early next week, regarding a new Australian product line we will be stocking, as a first in Queensland

10.01.2022 CANCELLATION OF ABD- Brisbane FOR 2020. Dear British Car Enthusiasts, The committee for All British Day- Brisbane met on Friday 19th June to discuss ABD 2020. T...he decision was made to cancel this year’s event due to the uncertainty surrounding the public health and event regulations that may be in force during the latter part of this year. We believe that this is the right decision considering the circumstances occurring in Victoria where the regulations are being tightened again in response to an increase in community transmission of Covid 19. The All British Day Committee and the MG Car Club of Qld Inc. would like to thank British Car Owners and Enthusiasts for their ongoing generous support to All British Day. All British Day is one of the most popular events of the British Car Enthusiast calendar in South East Queensland. The event is run as a non-profit event with surplus funds donated to charity. In the last eight years, $72,000.00 has been donated to worthy causes such as QMIR Berghofer Medical Research Institute and RACQ Careflight.
