24.01.2022 Got to love it when a client says Go for it! Thank you Sonia for letting me play. Shallow Biochar planting using two 75mm Turtle pots. Took just under 90mins and thoroughly enjoyed every part of it. I have untangled the strands and built a miniature rock garden out of the char for the plants to attach to at different heights, placing each piece into position at a time with tweezers and then weaving just a couple of strands together to introduce the two plants. Topped o...ff in the Brass tray. Awesome for a modern dining table. Please inbox me if you would like one for your home.

20.01.2022 What a gorgeous day for gardening! Seeing I am up at it in the sunshine I thought I would share how I use Biochar. step 1. I layer the bottom of the pot with straight Biochar to absorb any excess water 2. I mix in a premium potting mix with the Biochar to help keep bacteria at bay. This is also where the charcoal activated and releases all of its nutrients into the soil. ... 3. I plant and then top up the soil bed with Biochar. Firstly because I like the look, it also helps stabilise the new plantings and keeps them in place. It also absorbs any excess water when misting. There are no real rules when it comes to how much horticultural charcoal to use. In Terrariums and pots without drain holes, I use a heavy mix. In shallow applications (like the turtles in the copper tray) I go straight to step two. Have a play, experiment! That is one of the cool things about gardening. It is YOUR vision and creation. Biochar is available to buy direct from me for $9.90 in resealable, reusable bags. It is fully manufactured here in South Australia and I am extremely proud to be a part of this fantastic product. By the way.... bring back your empty bag and we refill it for $8.80. #biochar #charcoalisking #plantlife #sagreat #staylocal

11.01.2022 I definitely have a love/hate relationship with Silver Falls and learning the valuable lesson of Loving too much with them. This Mumma has not had any attention in the 7 weeks I have had her. Left in the hanging nursery pot, I removed the plastic hanger and popped her in this deep Urn and left her alone. Tip: this is a 300mm hanger. I used Biochar to level and fill the base of the Urn to make the pot fit and level. ... Eventually when she wants a drink, the water will be able to run through with ease. See more
