23.01.2022 ABLUE MOON'S HEAVEN'S D'OR Ablue Moon Rising | Glenview Silver Harmony Palomino Arabian Pony Filly The exquisite little 'Lucy', proudly owned by Emma Phillips, shone at last week's Perth Royal. At Western Australia's premier horse show, Lucy contested three classes (Best Presented Palomino, Arabian Derivative Filly, Palomino Filly) for three blue ribbons. She went on to be awarded Champion Arabian Derivative Female and Champion Palomino Female, before proceeding to take out t...op honours in both sections with Supreme Arabian Derivative Exhibit and Supreme Palomino Exhibit. At the show's conclusion, and in a substantial lineup, Lucy was awarded Top Five in the Supreme of Supremes. This was a massive week for Lucy and her owner Emma, with early starts, lots of driving back and forth, and some intense weather! Lucy looks an absolute picture, and her outstanding results are a credit to Emma's dedication and effort, as well as the support of her 'team'. Thank you, Emma, for giving Lucy such great opportunities, and congratulations again on an amazing first Royal together. <3 Lucy is pictured being awarded Supreme Arabian Derivative, with judge Mr Graham Smith, very proud owner Emma, handler Chris Michon, and RASWA Councillor in Charge (Horses) Dr Ross Rainbird. 22.01.2022 GLENVIEW SILVER HARMONY Menai Silver Sand | Rhyl Mi Lady Bay Welsh Mountain Pony Mare While it's been radio silence for a few months on this page, we're still here! After a cold and very quiet winter (with COVID restrictions in place), spring is in the air and coats are dropping, so we're back in full swing.... We love this photo of our dear little 'Minnie Mouse', taken about a fortnight ago. Now twenty one years old, and several years into her retirement, Min absolutely loved her bath and haircut, and is looking and feeling fabulous. She's as bright as a button, full of beans, and very much in love with Zing (she seems to be of the opinion that she should come back out of retirement, we've told her no ). Quite the distinguished producer, Min's offspring include the two exceptional Welsh Mountain geldings Ablue Moon's Virtuoso and Ablue Moon Pianissimo, both successful halter horses and ridden POTY winners. She subsequently proved herself a perfect partner for Ablue Moon Rising, a mating which produced six outstanding Arabian Ponies: Australian Champions Ablue Moon's Stairway to Heaven and Ablue Moon's James Blond, East Coast Champions Ablue Moon's Victoria Buckham, Ablue Moon's Redioactive, and Ablue Moon's Altissimo, and Dual Royal Supreme Champion Ablue Moon's Heaven's D'or. Through her progeny, and now their progeny too, she has brought so much happiness to so many people. Now enjoying life as a lady of leisure, with intermittent babysitting duties, Min does a fine job of overseeing her little domain. We've added more new photos to our website www.abluemoonarabianponies.com for anyone wishing to see them. ^_^

21.01.2022 'GUESS THE BABY' COMPETITION With only one foal due this season, we thought we'd run another of our 'guess the baby' competitions that have proven popular in the past. ^_^ To be in the running, guess the colour/sex of the foal, and a predicted foaling date and hour. If multiple people guess the correct time/date, then the first correct guess will be considered the 'winning' comment. Winning guess will receive a prize! ... To help everyone along, the foal will be chestnut (25% chance), palomino (50% chance) or cremello (25% chance). Tally will be 340 days along on the 6th of September, and has previously foaled at 332 and 348 days. Photo shows upcoming foal's sire Ablue Moon's James Blond, dam Bittersweet Symphony, and 3/4 siblings Ablue Moon's Venus de Milo and Ablue Moon's Chromeo. <3

21.01.2022 ABLUE MOON'S CHROMEO Ablue Moon Rising | Bittersweet Symphony 2018 Palomino Arabian Pony (58%) Colt Expressions of interest are invited on this spectacular son of Ablue Moon Rising. A stunning golden palomino with four white socks and a stripe, 'Willy' is smooth, correct, pretty, and can move the house down. Now a rising yearling, he is one of our very best, and for this reason we will consider making him available as an entire. He is the second and last foal from the Zing x... Tally mating (full sibling to the superb cremello filly Ablue Moon's Venus de Milo), and the second of only two entire palomino 'Zing' sons to be made available, the other being the outstanding Australian National Champion Ablue Moon's James Blond. If you are an experienced and capable home, looking for a breathtaking coloured pony to show at the highest levels, and to form the backbone of your breeding programme, please feel free to enquire.

20.01.2022 ABLUE MOON'S VICTORIA BUCKHAM Ablue Moon Rising | Glenview Silver Harmony 2016 Buckskin Arabian Pony (34%) Filly Next cab off the rank in our foal retrospective is the absolutely adorable Victoria Buckham ('Ming'), pictured in the first fortnight or so of her life. As you can see from the photo, she takes pampering herself very seriously, and not much has changed!... Ming is proudly owned by Shay Leigh Riddle, who loves her to bits and has accomplished so much with her in their three years together. Australian Silver Champion, East Coast Champion, National Stud Show Champion, two-time NSW State Champion, National Buckskin Championships Supreme of Show, and many more, Ming is a true princess...even the label on her stable door says so!

20.01.2022 ABLUE MOON'S EX'S N OH'S Ablue Moon Rising | Peaches n Cream 2017 Palomino Arabian Pony (58%) Filly Looking at some photos last night, and found this previously unpublished snap of our sassy little lady Pixie when she was around 4-6 weeks old. This attitude hasn't gone anywhere in the intervening time - she still loves to flip her tail, strut, and snort. She is growing into quite the beauty, and we can't wait to get some new photos of her later this year. ... Over the next few weeks, we'll be looking through the hard drives for some other unpublished baby photos, so stay tuned if you're looking for an out-of-season foal fix. ^_^

19.01.2022 ABLUE MOON'S MAGNA OPERA Ablue Moon Rising | Lavuka Cleopatra Palomino Arabian Riding Pony (37%), Section A Riding Pony, Part Welsh Galloway The beautiful 'Bertie' is available to limited mares this season, via frozen semen only. A Multi-Champion as a colt, Bertie was collected and gelded as a 2yo before joining his now owner Kayla Power.... With halter accolades including Barastoc HOTY, Barastoc Champion of Champions, and countless Supreme Championships, Bertie commenced his saddle career in 2018 with exceptional results, including Supreme titles at the APHA National Championships (where he also won the President's Cup), and the Melbourne Summer Horse Show. Combining elegance and refinement with superb paces, the sweetest nature, and a beautiful gold coat, 'Bertie' is a real dream horse, and a wonderful prospective sire of show or Dressage prospects. Very reasonable stud fee, please enquire for details.

18.01.2022 ABLUE MOON'S CHROMEO Ablue Moon Rising | Bittersweet Symphony A cute little happy snap of our darling boy Willy, taken yesterday morning. He's fat and dirty and happy as can be, loves to frolic, and can even do it with his eyes closed. An absolutely gorgeous boy inside and out!... While we won't have a horse with us this year, we wish everyone the very best of luck at this week's Australian Arabian National Championships, and look forward to catching up at the show. ^_^

18.01.2022 ABLUE MOON'S BED OF ROSES Ablue Moon Rising | La Vie En Rose Palomino Half Arabian (Arabian Pony) (82%) Mare Our beautiful senior mare Ablue Moon's Bed of Roses, pictured at the 2019 Australian Arabian National Championships. Her first outing since the 2015 Aussies (where she competed as an Arabian Pony), Primlet contested her first Half Arabian class to be awarded Top Five (4th) in very competitive company, missing the Bronze Championships by only one point. She also recei...ved the top class score for legs and feet. Prepared at home, and shown by Mitch Taff, we were very happy with Prim's results. She has never been wholly convinced about the 'show horse' business, and would much prefer to stand around being cuddled. Not the best drinker (even at home), she gets quite tucked up and, after a washbay incident that saw her skin her hock, we weren't even sure she'd be sound on Saturday morning. Needless to say, she was! We have to extend a huge thank you to Sharyn and Rob of Lendene Stud, who very kindly transported Prim to and from the show on our behalf, and took wonderful care of her for us. <3 She is back out in the paddock now, with her little buddy/shadow Halo, and looks tremendously pleased with herself. <3 Retirement suits her.

18.01.2022 ABLUE MOON'S EX'S N OH'S Ablue Moon Rising | Peaches n Cream Palomino Arabian Pony (58%) Filly A quick phone photo of our special yearling filly 'Pixie', taken about eight weeks ago (before she grew her fluffy winter coat). We haven't taken any proper photos of her lately, but thought that a little update was overdue...fortunately she's a natural beauty! This precious princess has the the most amazing attitude, and just look at that coat colour! <3

18.01.2022 ABLUE MOON'S STARLET O'HARA Ablue Moon Rising | La Vie En Rose Chestnut Arabian Pony (82%) Mare Today, we put the spotlight on the beautiful mare Ablue Moon's Starlet O'Hara, owned by Dez Mitrakas. A State and Supreme Champion halter horse, as well as the highest scoring exhibit 3yrs & over during the 2018 ASPR Assessment tour, 'Daisy' has recently commenced her saddle career.... At her first outing, the Victorian Dressage Championships Fundraiser, Daisy won her Preliminary Comeandtry test with Kristy Sparkes on board, subsequently placing at the Victorian Dressage Championships. Undaunted by the surroundings and the high standard of the competition, Daisy made her ridden show debut at Barastoc HOTY where, capably ridden by Tash Rogers, she was awarded a Finalist (Top Ten) placing in the Newcomer Show Hunter Pony. Daisy is looking absolutely fantastic, and all the time and effort that Dez has invested in her preparation is very obvious. Congratulations, Dez, on these great results with your green baby, and congratulations to Kristy and Tash too - super effort by all involved. ^_^ PC: Dez Mitrakas

17.01.2022 ABLUE MOON'S VENUS DE MILO Ablue Moon Rising | Bittersweet Symphony Cremello Arabian Pony (58%), Part Welsh, Part APSB Filly An exciting start to the career of one precious filly, the weekend saw the elegant 'Tilly' make her show debut. Proudly owned by the Cole & Shepley family, Tilly put her best foot forward to win Champion White Horse Youngstock and Reserve Champion Arabian Pony Youngstock. Capturing plenty of attention, she performed very well throughout the day in some... tough competition. Prepared and shown by Tricia and Anthony Pauling, Tilly's immaculate presentation and condition are a credit to her 'team'. Congratulations, Sue, Belinda, and Peter, on a wonderful start to Tilly Bean's career. ^_^ She is one lucky pony to have found such a wonderful home! Photo credit: Glenys Lilley

16.01.2022 ABLUE MOON'S AVANT-GARDE Ablue Moon Rising | La Vie En Rose 2012 Grey Arabian Pony (82%) Gelding This foal flashback takes us back to 2012 with dear little Huey, who had just found out that being a baby involves a very steep learning curve! Making his first trip across the garden to a new paddock, Huey was having a cheeky frolic when he realised he didn't have quite as much traction as he was expecting. After an undignified scramble in the dirt, he quickly hopped to his feet ...and pranced away as if to say 'you didn't see that', but we already had the photographic evidence. A handsome grey Galloway with beautiful movement, Huey looks very different today from the little bay foal he once was. He is proudly owned by Sharyn Williams, who loves him dearly, and is a successful halter horse with many Championships to his credit.

16.01.2022 ABLUE MOON'S MAGNA OPERA Ablue Moon Rising | Lavuka Cleopatra 2012 Palomino Arabian Riding Pony (37%) Gelding This time, it's a flashback to the delightful 'Bertie' as a baby. During his early life, Bertie found the prospect of grazing so exciting that he sometimes struggled with his technique. He would stick his tongue out to the side (as you can see) and draw little circles in the grass, waiting for it to pick itself and jump into his mouth. He figured things out for good... not long after this photo was taken, and we're so happy to have it as a memento. Bertie is now proudly owned and loved by Kayla Power, who has guided him to great success in the show ring. A Barastoc Led Palomino HOTY (as well as twice Champion Gelding and once Champion of Champions Gelding), with many other Championships and Supremes to his credit, there's no question that this lovable boy is the apple of Kayla's eye. <3

15.01.2022 ABLUE MOON'S HEIR FORCE ONE RHR Heir of Marwan | Kim-Dande Stormgirl 2015 Chestnut Arabian Pony (64%) Gelding Today it's looking back at 2015 and the handsome Rory. Very much cast in the image of his decorated sire, Rory was the 'giant' of the foal crop (he has apparently matured mid-Galloway, his other 2015 siblings approx. 12.2hh and 13hh). Despite his comparatively huge stature, however, he was so sweet and mild-mannered that he never found himself at the top of the peckin...g order. Now a striking Show Hunter Galloway, Rory is proudly owned by Carmel Barnfield, and is awaiting his turn in the ring. With his imposing looks and impressive movement, we are all extremely excited about his future, and looking forward to seeing him out and about.

14.01.2022 THE LEGACY OF LA VIE EN ROSE One of the most special things about the 2019 Australian Arabian National Championships for us was the representation of our dear departed Purebred queen La Vie En Rose. Rather unusually for a mare, and especially one who only produced four live foals for us, Rose had three progeny in attendance at the show. Even more unusually, all three placed in their (well-contested) halter classes. Our precious Ablue Moon’s Bed of Roses was Top Five (4th) in ...the Half Arabian (any age, any sex), only one point off the Bronze Champion. The handsome gelding Ablue Moon Rendezvous, owned by Samantha Webb, was awarded Silver Champion in an exceptional class of Arabian Pony geldings. Rosie’s beautiful youngest daughter, Ablue Moon’s Starlet O’Hara, owned by Dez Mitrakas, was Top Ten (4th) in the Arabian Pony Mare division. Like her sister, she was fourth by just one point, a great result in a close and well-supported class. All three were very capably shown by Mitch Taff. These results were made even more memorable by the fact that these three ponies were all prepared and conditioned at home by non-professionals. Louis and Daisy both looked superb, and are a credit to the efforts of their owners. We lost our Rose in November 2017, but her wonderful progeny keep her memory alive. <3

14.01.2022 Following the recent bushfire devastation, we are conducting a very small-scale fundraising auction. Items are donated by us, and 100% of proceeds will be donated to the CFA. 1. By bidding on any item, you acknowledge that you have read and accept these terms and conditions. 2. To bid, comment on the photo of the item you wish to purchase. Make sure to take note of the starting bid and minimum bid increment. 3. No bids may be edited or retracted. Incorrect bids (i.e. those wh...ich are lower than previous bids) will be deleted. 4. Each auction will end at the time noted in its listing. This time is as per the administrator's computer, AEST. In the case of any dispute, the administrator's time stamp will be used to settle the dispute. 5. Full payment is required within 48 hours of the end of the auction. Direct Deposit preferred. 13.01.2022 ABLUE MOON'S VENUS DE MILO Ablue Moon Rising | Bittersweet Symphony Cremello Arabian Pony (58%) Filly The first photo we have shared of our little 'Tilly Bean' since she was weaned around this time last year. Named after a marble goddess, she is the perfect representative of her namesake, and has grown into an elegant yearling who immediately captures your attention with her shimmering white coat and beautiful face.... Tilly departs for her new home later this week...as sad as we always are to see one of our babies leave, we could not be more thrilled with the wonderful home and family that await her. We wish her new owners the very best with this precious filly, and can't wait to follow her future adventures as a halter horse, saddle pony, and eventual broodmare. <3 Travel safely, little Bean...we're very proud of you.

13.01.2022 MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM ABLUE MOON From our family to yours, may your Christmas (and your New Year) be merry and bright. We hope that everyone has a wonderful day tomorrow, and that 2020 sees all your wishes come true. Our deepest sympathies to all those affected by the current fires and the ongoing drought - it will be a very difficult Christmas for so many. May the new year bring rain and relief to all the parts of the country that need it so very badly.... Thanks to our all our 'extended family', friends, and followers for your support over the past twelve months. <3 All the very best for what remains of 2019, and we'll see you in 2020. This year's Christmas card features the adorable Ablue Moon's Chromeo...looks to be jumping for joy. ^_^

12.01.2022 ABLUE MOON SHINING S K Shakla Khan | Kim-Dande Stormgirl 2011 Palomino Arabian Pony Mare Our special 'Bella' - gorgeous, golden, Galloway (approx. 14.1 & 1/2hh) mare. <3 Registered Arabian Pony and eligible numerous other registrations (inc. Part Welsh, Coloured, EA), quiet and easy to handle, well-established and working very nicely, eligible all Newcomers, and ready to excel.... Photo taken yesterday...Bella has been in work for less than four weeks after almost a year turned out, and hasn't put a toe out of line. A beautiful girl inside and out, and a credit to everyone who has had a hand in her education. Currently available to an exceptional, loving home - please visit www.abluemoonarabianponies.com for full details and more photos, and feel free to contact us via PM, email, or phone (contact details and email form available on our website).

12.01.2022 KEEPING BUSYPOST #2 With the show season now largely concluded, and several quiet winter months ahead, now is a great time to plan your advertising! You may feel it’s too early to get started, but truly, deadlines roll around before you know it. A few things you can do without leaving the house: 1. Look at the magazines and catalogues you’ve undoubtedly acquired over the last six months (but perhaps haven’t had a chance to have a proper look at). Note any advertising ‘trends...,’ ads that you think are particularly effective, etc., and think about the reasons these strategies are successful. There may be lessons that you can apply to your own material. 2. If you’re planning on paid advertising (whether it’s paying for magazine space or sponsoring for catalogue advertising), have an idea of your budget for the season. By thinking about it now, and perhaps putting a little something aside if you can), you’re less likely to find yourself short at the crucial moment. 3. Will you need photos for your advertising? Do you already have the photos you need? If there are show proofs you’ve been meaning to buy, now is a great time, as many photographers archive their proofs after a certain period. If you’ll need new photos, pencil in a date for that shoot now! You’ll need the photos well ahead of the submission dates for whichever publications you choose, so try not to leave your run too late. 4. If you’re planning on using a particular designer, give them an early shout-out. This not only gives them time to think about a concept for your advertising (particularly if you’re talking about multiple ads spread over a season), but reduces the risk of leaving something until the last minute, when they might not be able to accommodate your request. 5. Consider introducing a ‘theme’ in your advertising. Whether it’s a logo, colour scheme, particular font, favourite photo, etc., if there are certain elements common to all your advertising, it will help to increase recognisability and memorability, and establish a connection between your print and online material. When people see your advertising, you want them to know immediately that it's you! We hope these little reminders come in useful as you prepare yourselves for your 2020/21 marketing campaign! Photo is our recent ad from the 2020 Australian Arabian National Championships catalogue.

12.01.2022 ABLUE MOON'S HEAVEN'S D'OR Ablue Moon Rising | Glenview Silver Harmony Palomino Arabian Pony Filly Junior halter class? This is 2yo Arabian Pony filly 'Lucy' with her tiny youth handler, 3yo Jake Phillips - what an adorable pair they make! Lucy had a huge programme at her most recent outing, contesting a number of miscellaneous classes with Jake and his big brother Sam (6yo) in addition to her 'main' halter classes. Both these young gentlemen looked very dapper, and clearly ...did a terrific job. ;) At the Dilutes Australian State Championships (WA), Lucy was awarded Supreme Palomino and the overall Supreme Exhibit 10.2hh to 14.2hh, winning the Gunnadorrah Tom Thumb Memorial Award for the second consecutive year. At the Colourama Championships on the same day, she was Supreme Palomino and Supreme Appendix CBCHS, as well as Top Three of show - a fabulous conclusion to what has been a remarkable season. Heartfelt congratulations to Lucy's proud owner Emma Phillips on her continued success with this little treasure. Lucy always looks a treat, and wants for nothing - a lucky pony indeed! Absolutely love this gorgeous photo, courtesy of Emma...pure joy on the part of Jake, perhaps a nap on Lucy's agenda.

09.01.2022 LENDENE MOONRAKER This week, we recognise the fine achievements of the adorable yearling gelding Lendene Moonraker ('Raffi'), bred by Sharyn Williams of Lendene Stud. At the recent Australian National Arabian Championships, Raffi was awarded Australian Gold Champion in the very strong class for Arabian Pony Geldings of any age. Even more impressively, he went on to be named High Point Derivative Male of the Championships - a tremendous result for a yearling, and particularly... a yearling gelding! 'Raffi' is the first foal of the outstanding young stallion Ablue Moon's James Blond ('Jimmy'), and success certainly runs in the family, with 'Jimmy' himself awarded Australian National Champion Arabian Pony Colt in 2016. We are expecting our own foal by Jimmy in 2019, and can't wait to meet him or her (especially having seen the two exquisite fillies that Sharyn currently has on the ground)! Raffi has been beautifully prepared and conditioned by Sharyn this season, with great results, and we congratulate her (and Raffi's very proud new owner) on his many successes.

08.01.2022 ABLUE MOON'S MILK N HONEY S K Shakla Khan | Peaches n Cream 2009 Palomino Arabian Pony (75%) Mare Today we're going all the way back to 9th August 2009. We had the name Milk n Honey picked out for a pally filly prior to conception, and it couldn't have been a more perfect choice - Honey by name and Honey by nature. <3 ... This is little Honey on the day of her birth. She had already decided that people were her absolute favourite thing, and is pictured relishing a scratch and a cuddle during her first foray into the paddock. While she's now a beautiful, big-bodied senior mare, her attitude hasn't changed a bit, and her world still revolves around humans. ^_^ Honey is currently on lease to Emma Phillips, and is expecting her very own baby in November, sired by Emma's very successful Mystic Valley Paparazzi. We're sure this highly anticipated foal will be something special!

07.01.2022 ABLUE MOON SHINING S K Shakla Khan | Kim-Dande Stormgirl 2011 Palomino Arabian Pony (64%) Mare Today we revisit the earliest days of the exquisite 'Bella'. As a baby, one of her favourite hobbies was finding large, loose clods of grass, shaking them about a bit, then parading around the paddock flaunting her 'trophy' in front of her brothers. The only filly of our 2011 foal crop, she had more than enough feminine charm to make up for the testosterone overload! ... Still just as beautiful, and with the brains to back it up, Bella only left us in January this year. She is already a cherished member of the Scarano family, excelling in her full-time role as a saddle horse, and we look forward to watching her partnership with Naomi continue to flourish.

07.01.2022 ABLUE MOON RISING S K Shakla Khan | Kim-Dande Stormgirl Palomino Arabian Pony (64%) Stallion Happy birthday to our special boy...our little Halloween baby, now thirteen years old. The time goes so quickly!... This photo of Zing taken about two hours ago, just before he enjoyed his birthday carrot. Pictured in full scruffy glory - fat and unwashed and unclipped, exactly as he is straight from the paddock, and a natural beauty through and through. How lucky are we. <3

06.01.2022 ABLUE MOON'S STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN Ablue Moon Rising | Glenview Silver Harmony 2013 Palomino Arabian Pony (34%) Mare The first of this week's foal flashbacks is 'Halo'...born with a cheeky streak a mile wide, this little minx was one of the cutest babies you could imagine. Despite her tiny size and yellow colouring, she was convinced that she was Phar Lap, and was always zooming around at top speed (frequently airborne as well). As you can see, even chest-deep pasture didn't slo...w her down. Australian National Champion from her only outing to date, Halo is one of our precious retained females, and is just as beautiful now as she has always been.

05.01.2022 FAREWELL 2019 As ever, the past twelve months have seen us experience some of the highs and lows of horse breeding and ownership. The lowest low was, unquestionably, the loss of our one and only 2019 foal. Sired by Ablue Moon’s James Blond, and out of Bittersweet Symphony, ‘Timmy’ was the cremello colt we had been striving to breed for thirteen years. Full-term, perfectly-developed, and the product of a short and problem-free labour, our vets (who have foaled Tally down for ...Continue reading

05.01.2022 ABLUE MOON'S TNT Ablue Moon Rising | Peaches n Cream 2011 Chestnut Arabian Pony (58%) Gelding Today's foal flashback is the darling 'Fred', pictured during the first week or so of his life. Soft and sweet from the moment he was born, his lovable attitude hasn't changed a bit in the intervening years. <3... Now proudly owned by Karli and Mel Millard, Fred is enjoying a successful halter career in Arabian Pony, Youth, and Non Pro company. Capably shown by his young owner Karli, he has this season been awarded Championships at East Coast, the National Stud Show, the NSW State Titles, and the Double Diamond Arabian Showcase. He is always beautifully prepared and presented, and is obviously a much-loved member of the family.

04.01.2022 A REMARKABLE YEAR & A GOLDEN OPPORTUNITY 2020 is an extra special year for us! For what will be the first and only time in his life, Zing's birthday (31st October) will fall on a Blue Moon. <3 He'll be turning fourteen this year, and what an impression and a legacy he has made in his fourteen years. His golden presence has illuminated our farm from the day he was born, and we are so proud of his beautiful offspring, and their owners, who now form a precious little constellat...ion around Australia. To celebrate this serendipitous occasion, we are making a very special opportunity available for the 2020 breeding season, and we invite you to visit our website www.abluemoonarabianponies.com for further details ^_^

04.01.2022 ABLUE MOON RISING S K Shakla Khan | Kim-Dande Stormgirl Palomino Arabian Pony (64%) Stallion Do you own an exquisite Purebred Arabian mare? Have you been dreaming of breeding your own Arabian Pony? Here is your opportunity!... With no breeding plans ourselves for this year due to other commitments, we have decided to make our golden boy privately available to a maximum of three approved Purebred Arabian mares, for high-percentage Arabian Pony/Half Arabian foals, with a 50% chance of colour. ^_^ This is not a first-in, best-dressed offer - regardless of their type/credentials/pedigrees, we will only approve mares who we feel will cross well with Zing to produce the best possible offspring. Similarly, while the number of mares will not exceed three, we reserve the right to lower this number at our discretion. Zing's progeny have been consistent winners and Champions at all levels since they first hit the show ring. Australian, East Coast, National, Barastoc, Royal, State, Grand & Supreme Championships...they have done it all in halter (with some of his youngest set to debut this season), and are just beginning to strut their stuff under saddle. Happy to provide stud fee etc. upon enquiry (due to advertising regulations). If you would like further details, or would like your mare considered, please contact us via PM. Feel free to send photos etc. ^_^ FROZEN SEMEN ONLY | PLEASE ENQUIRE

03.01.2022 CHAMPIONS FROM COAST TO COAST! <3 ABLUE MOON'S HEAVEN'S D'OR Ablue Moon Rising | Glenview Silver Harmony Palomino Arabian Pony Filly... The gorgeous Ablue Moon's Heaven's D'or, proudly owned by Emma Phillips, attended last weekend's Serpentine Pre-Royal with great success. In some good company, this little doll brought home numerous Championships, including Supreme Arabian Derivative n.e. 14.2hh, Supreme Palomino, and Supreme Appendix CBCHS. Lucy is looking absolutely incredible, a credit to Emma's care, and has excelled in the showring since her arrival in WA as a tiny little weanling. <3 ABLUE MOON'S VICTORIA BUCKHAM Ablue Moon Rising | Glenview Silver Harmony Buckskin Arabian Pony Filly A few weeks earlier (and only four thousand kilometres away!), Shay Riddle's stunning Ablue Moon's Victoria Buckham was also awarded the Supreme Derivative title, also in good company, but this time at the Hunter Valley A-Class Arabian Show. As always, Ming was presented to perfection, a testament to Shay's skills. Like her siblings, this little princess continues to go from strength to strength. Congratulations, Emma and Shay, and thank you for giving these precious fillies such great opportunities. <3 Pictured: Ablue Moon's Heaven's D'or with handler Michelle Michon, photo courtesy of Aussie Platinum Photography.

02.01.2022 ABLUE MOON'S BUTTERCELLI Ablue Moon Rising | Glenview Silver Penny 2017 Palomino Arabian Pony (34%) Gelding Another day, another foal flashback. This is the dear little Buttercelli ('Franc') when he was about a week old. Some will have seen this photo, but we've not shared it on our page before. The story here is that Franc was frolicking in the garden when he suddenly realised there was a tree branch over his head! It was, of course, quite a distance above his head - not eve...n in the frame - but you can never be too careful, and Franc thought it would be safest if he ducked to avoid it. Clever boy. Unshown to date, this massive-moving pony is enjoying his leisure time in an experienced and competitive home, and we all have high hopes for when he steps into the ring.

02.01.2022 ABLUE MOON'S REDIOACTIVE Ablue Moon Rising | Glenview Silver Harmony Chestnut Arabian Pony, Part APSB Mare Our beautiful 'Pip', enjoying a frolic during a long-overdue photo shoot this morning. <3 At her senior debut yesterday, she was awarded Champion Arabian Pony Mare under Alcides Rodrigues (US), and Reserve Champion Arabian Pony Mare under Jonas Salzmann (Kuwait). She was foot-perfect all day, and looked a picture. ... Special thanks to our sponsor Cassie Adams of Divine Design Browbands and Accessories for Pip's spectacular rose gold band, which attracted plenty of compliments. ;) This gorgeous girl is currently available to a great home - please visit www.abluemoonarabianponies.com/sales/ to see her full details and photos, uploaded today.

01.01.2022 KEEPING BUSY DURING COVID-19POST #1 With the current COVID-19 situation, we thought we’d share a few horsey (and hopefully useful) ways to pass the time over the next few weekends. Today, it’s a quick and easy way of cleaning brass (solid brass...if it's only brass-plated then you risk taking off the plating). This will be old news to many, but it might be helpful to some! While we certainly don’t claim to be experts, this is a method that works for us: 1. You’ll need your b...rass items (i.e. bits & chains), a saucepan, water, white vinegar, tongs or similar, and an old, clean towel. 2. Half-fill the saucepan (only needs to be small, unless you’re cleaning something large and inflexible) with water. 3. Add white vinegar (we generally use about a 2:1 ratio of water to vinegar) and bring to a rolling boil. 4. Once the water/vinegar mix is boiling, pick up a brass item (i.e. a chain) and submerge it in the water. 5. After approximately 10 seconds, use the tongs to lift the chain out and place it on the clean towel. 6. Fold the towel around the chain and rub vigorously (bear in mind that it will be very hot!). 7. Inspect the chain. You should see an immediate difference, but if you’d still like it to be cleaner, repeat steps 4-6. Once you’ve cleaned everything and made sure it is completely dry, don’t put it straight back on your halter or bridle, or even in your bridle bag or tack box. Put it in a zip-lock bag, squeeze all the extra air out, and seal it before putting it in its proper place. By preventing the air from getting to it, you’ll slow down the tarnishing, and everything should stay bright and shiny for longer. :)
