20.01.2022 It's nice to be sharp It's ok to be flat ... But always be natural.

14.01.2022 A lot of people are curious about what music therapy actually is. Here is a lovely site that helps uncover the wonderful work that we (Registered Music Therapists) can do.

07.01.2022 While this isn't strictly focussing on music therapy, it does give an interesting insight into the effect music can have on the brain. And, the effect music can have on a person (because that's the most important part, right?). This is a nice snippet showing two things that I love about music: the way it can do almost magical things with the brain, and the way it can allow people to be their most authentic selves. The way Megan speaks about singing to become her truest self is poignant, and when I work with people, that's one of the most wonderful things that I see music can do.

06.01.2022 Here's another succinct explanation of what music therapy is. It's on the Australian Music Therapy Association website, where you can find lots of information about music therapy including its history, applications, and FAQs about music therapy and the NDIS.

03.01.2022 Music really is extraordinary. This is a brilliant snippet of the power music has... and registered music therapists are lucky enough to use it every day to help enhance people’s health and wellbeing!
