07.01.2022 Oh sigh! All this talk about Justice Leagues opening weekend earnings, comparing the film to The Avengers. It's Rotten Tomatoes score. I saw the film and I had a blast yes it was all over the place in the beginning but that's because the studio listened to the "complaints" the fans had over Batman V Superman and edited the film accordingly. Now it's too short.... you can't have it both ways people. Now we might be loosing the best Batman since Keaton. Now I like both the Ma...rvel Cinematic Universe and DCEU. As a DC fan and Marvel fan I am enjoying the film series both Marvel Studios and Warner Brothers are producing. I like the theatrical releases of DC films but love the Extended Versions as bits that didn't make sense in the theatrical release suddenly do in the Extended. My only disappointment in the DCEU is Jared Leto's performance as The Joker I mean what. DCEU's ultimate misstep is trying to play catch up with Marvel. On to Justice League first half of the film was a little all over the place I can agree but in that we did get some cool scenes and references. Amazons, Atlantians, Humans and Lanterns fighting side by side awesome. So Steppenwolf became a messenger of doom to get the Mother Boxes to summon Darkseid that is it. He was as entertaining as Ultron (to me at least). Oh I was created. Oh humans are bad I am evil now ahhh destroy the earth. Flash was a highlight of the film funny and entertaining. Makes some mistakes but wants some friends cool. Batman in this was different still a leader but some things he did were a little odd, but we saw the human side to Batman his scars and bruises that he received in battle. Damage over 30 years of being Batman (unlike Bales portrayal which to me sounded like he didn't drink enough milk hence his joints being screwed but Nolans take was more realistic as that has been stated before). Cyborg was dealing with what he had become against his will and how to deal with it also he said "Booyah" so all good. Aquaman was bad ass what can I say. Wonder Woman was top notch as well that theme wow. Supermans return was good apart from no scar from being impaled by Doomsday in BvS. The themes in Justice League was cool new films and old themes were used. Very cool. Easter Egg galore and mid and post credit scenes we great. Humour and action packed fight scenes, I really enjoyed Justice League despite its flaws. But all this is my opinion we all have one and are entitled to them. 4 stars out of 5.
03.01.2022 How I felt after my failed attempt at a competition? Not one entry. I was kinda surprised. Unless no one is interested in Dark Phoenix I’m not sure. But I had another little give away for the Batman/TMNT crossover movie and now I am not sure wether to go through with it. Dark Phoenix competition is officially closed. No winner.
