09.01.2022 The stats are in! December 2020 saw Perth’s property market end the year on a positive note.... Sales Stats; Perth sales activity was up 42.5% in December 2020 when compared to December 2019. ... Median house price remained relatively stable for the month, however some areas such as Kelmscott, Yokine and Wellard saw substantial increases in house prices. Perth’s median house price is expected to increase by 6% - 10% over the 2021 year. Rental Stats; Perth’s median rent increased by $5 to $395 per week. 3,655 properties leased in December 2020, being a 9% increase in leasing activity from November 2020 figures. Suburbs that saw an increase to the median rental price per week included Mount Pleasant, Duncraig, Applecross and Alkimos, among others. Perth’s rental vacancy rate remains low at 0.8%.
