13.01.2022 Hey you mob! On 13 SEPTEMBER 2020 there will be an easing of Stage 3 & 4 restrictions at 11.59pm. So until September 13 it's business as usual throughout Metro...politan Melbourne in Stage 4 and regional Victoria (including Mitchell Shire) in Stage 3. Our mob have done so well in keeping confirmed cases down in Victoria and this 'easing' is a welcome change for all of us. So it's now more important than ever we remember the work we've been putting in to get here. Please keep following restrictions so that we're as close to 'normal' by the end of the year. We will post these 'easing of restriction' details this coming week when the details are locked in, and it's clear that confirmed case numbers have dropped enough to move forward. Restrictions will be reviewed again 28 September, 26 October & 23 November. Even with restrictions easing, remember to keep getting in touch with your local GP or ACCO to get your regular health checks as well as getting tested and isolating until you get your results. Get tested even if youre showing the mildest cold or flu symptoms. Its also really important we reach into our supports right now. 08.01.2022 Homelessness Australia together with national housing and homelessness campaign - Everybodys Home - have released interactive heat maps, that show high level of homelessness and desperate social housing shortages across Australia. The maps shows alarming some figures, with 5,600 people homeless in the electorates of Melbourne, Bruce and Macnamara alone. More than 4,000 of Victorias Aboriginal households (around one in five) have sought social housing through the Victorian H...ousing Register (VHR). One third of these are categorised by the VHR as homeless with support. Alarming statistics such as these are a key driver behind the work we're doing to outcomes in The Victorian Aboriginal Housing and Homelessness Framework.
