22.01.2022 Port Pirie Aboriginal Action Group Current and past AAC students Lillian Crombie, Rubina Hall, Virginnia Coombe, Natasha Wilton, who are part of the PPAAG, with Mayor Leon Stephens at the Road Safety School site distributing 24 bikes from a Melbourne organisation called ‘Bikes for Bikes’. The bikes were part donated, repaired & distributed to organisations & kids. In this case, Aboriginal kids in Port Pirie to help them get to school, training, sport, for fun & health. The event was attended by a big crowd of kids & families, with volunteers from the Road Safety School site who adjusted seats, handlebars & took the kids through some road rules on the purpose built roads & crossings. An excellent initiative.

FYI, the following offered "Face-to-Face" and externally to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students fee-free: "Certificate I in Information, Digital Media and Technology" students can study just one unit that interests them or they can study six to gain the certificate:... Microsoft Word Microsoft Excel Microsoft PowerPoint Internet & email Operate a personal computer Use digital devices Microsoft Outlook (optional) We also have the following short courses, these are about 3 hours long and are basically an introduction to the above units. Students can choose which one interests them.
