18.01.2022 Quincy's set at Yumaanda provided the dance-floor with lashings of groove laden deep house beats. With a particular focus on tribalistic percussion, rolling bass-lines, considered track selection and smooth mixes - the below recording of the set is a journey that takes us right back to the riverbank! To stay up to date with his new mixes and gigs follow his artist page at Quincy - AUS

15.01.2022 Wow, what a week it's been! We've finally finished packing up and we're now reflecting on the incredible time we had together. It's very hard to find the words to sum up what we were all a part of over the long weekend. Every aspect of how the gathering came together truly exceeded our expectations, and the amount of genuine and authentic feedback we've received has been very moving. We'd like to say a number of thank you's, without these amazing people Yumaanda wouldn't have... happened and it would have remained a dream of ours. Thank you Uncle Larry for your warm Welcome to Country allowing us safe passage whilst on your homelands, and for sharing your stories, knowledge and warm presence with us. Thank you to all of the dancers, artists, speakers, facilitators, DJs and musicians that shared their culture, passion, knowledge, stories, experiences and music with us. Thank you Ken, Di, Holly and Bonnie for welcoming us into your beautiful home and for whole heartedly joining us in this amazing adventure! Thank you to the incredible team of volunteers including our amazing crew, who connected with the vision for this gathering, saw the potential, and decided to invest their time and energy towards making it as memorable as possible. The work you have put in is astounding and this would not have happened without each of you. Lastly thank you to all of our Associate Members for joining us over the long weekend. You were all so respectful and receptive towards the gatherings purpose and intent. We feel that the meaning of Yumaanda (to give) was genuinely understood and honoured by you all, and that you came with an open mind and intent to 'connect, share and dance' with us and each other. There has been so much hard work and effort put in by so many people, it's been an experience that we'll never forget, with memories and newfound connections we'll treasure for a long long time to come. Together we formed a community for those few days on the banks of the river, and it was nothing short of beautiful. Thank you for being a part of the beginning with us! We hope you can join us for the unofficial afterparty at our annual Merri Creek Day Gathering in March this year - more details are coming soon..
