22.01.2022 This is your chance to put forward your thoughts on public fireworks displays. The results will help to craft the new revised Queensland Outdoor Fireworks Code of Practice which is now under review.

12.01.2022 This is our first time at Mackay Show so we thought we’d better come up with something special! you can’t see the aerial shells in the video but they’re there!Southern operators would demand $10,000.00 or more for this display. Not us!!! If you need a display to impress your guests give me a call and I’ll let you in on our secret!

12.01.2022 Today’s is of the New Year display at Freedom Shores.

06.01.2022 Tully Show was the very first display we fired after starting out in this business. last Friday we fired our 24th Tully Show fireworks display. We were a little late however, the new and unique effects that we developed seemed to go over very well with the show-goers. We will be there next year and I promise something pretty special for that one!

05.01.2022 Thanks Airlie Beach! This special occasion deserved a special effort!

05.01.2022 Well! It’s been a shocker of a year so far! We lost a heap of shows during November and December (our busiest period) and having a full calander it was looking good in March, April, and May. Then, you know what, we have had zero displays since late February and it doesn’t look good for the rest of the year. So! I thought I’d cheer everyone up and post a picture from a different display every day as long as I remember! Here we go! This was taken at the Coral Sea Marine.

05.01.2022 EXPLAINER: FIREWORKS Fireworks DO NOT fall under a local fire ban currently in place in some parts of Queensland. This means they can be used by licensed ...professionals. Only when a Declaration of State of Fire Emergency is in place (which it is not) that there is restrictions. Fireworks are controlled under the Explosives Act 1999, not the Fire and Emergency Services Act 1990. Only those issued with licences under the Act are allowed to use them. This means only competent and licensed fireworks contractors can possess, use and organise a fireworks display

04.01.2022 Hello Mission Beach! This post is to respond to recent comments made by Mission Beach’s very own serial pest. The page admin of the ‘Mission Beach News’ Facebook page is one Rodney Young and is known to most people in the community as, and I quote many people, a serial pest. He continuously makes ridiculous claims that he has organized different events for Mission Beach. This is simply untrue, if anything he has impeded the progress of events since 2016. He has in some instan...ces raised funds from a few local businesses where he claimed some involvement with a New Year event in 2016. This money was never handed to any authority towards the event and has never been accounted for to any extent. In one discussion with Rodney, before I knew who he was, he told me he had secured the band U2 to attend the 2019 New Year celebrations. Really!!! Given some comments in response to one of his posts this evening where some have said that they will reconsider traveling to Mission, I implore you to reconsider! The attractions of this beautiful town and community far outweigh any comments made by one delusional fool. I have worked with Hillary Watson on several events now and she has been targeted by this person as well. I only know this lady to be close to the heartbeat of this community and a beautiful soul. Rodney does not run a news site! He is not a journalist! Nor is he a responsible person to be claiming such a position. I feel the best way to deal with him could be to remove his platform of self interest. Please consider unliking or unfollowing the page MISSION BEACH NEWS. He does not deserve the status of such a page nor has he displayed any responsibility in promoting Mission Beach as a destination for tourists or other visitors. Together we may be able to reign in his vitriolic and vile comments made against good honest community minded people. To you Rodney I simply say, Sticks and Stones mate! PLEASE SHARE FAR AND WIDE! 02.01.2022 This daily snap is from the Great Barrier Reef Festival display held in Airlie Beach last year.

02.01.2022 Let’s get this party started !

02.01.2022 Have a go at this nutter! Rodney Young from Mission Beach called me to book in for a New Year display in Mission Beach. It soon became apparent that he had no resources or any legal structure to run the event. No support from council etc. and I was very suspicious when he told me he had the band U2 booked for the event! Yes! U2 this New Year in Mission Beach! Some enquiries soon led me to the Mission Beach Business and Tourism Association who are the wonderful people actually... volunteering to run the event. Since then this guy has accused me of all sorts of things like breach of contract, harassment, and other illegal dealings. Its been going on for a while now with some newspaper articles about his antics as well.So now, today, he has posted this little chestnut! Am I concerned no! I'm told this chap had similar problems in 2016 with another operator, and he is not well. Apparently he is medicated and well known as an unbalanced character in Mission Beach, so I'm just going to let it go right here! On the up side we will be in Mission Beach for New Year, and on the 13th of December for the Village Green Party!. It will be great, and Ill see you all there Mission Beach! See more
