25.01.2022 One of the more fascinating & intriguing towns I have ever passed through. With original buildings from the 1880s, it looks like time stood still here. Like a film set for a period movie. This heritage town of Terowie is the where Gen Douglas MacArthur declares I shall return!. The old disused railway station commentates this event. Im obsessed with is town! So isolated & far from everything. Didn’t see any fresh food shop or any life for that matter. 10.30 am in the morning & the town looked like it was asleep. But the buildings are just beautiful. #terowrie #ghosttown #heritagetown #1880s #1880

22.01.2022 Woolgoolga, is a nice little town for stopping by for a great coffee on our way to Byron Bay. First inhabited by the Gumbaynggir aboriginal people & just over a hundred years ago, became an early centre of Sikh migration to Australia. Woolgoolga now has the largest regional Sikh/Punjabi population in Australia. They are now said to own 90% of the banana farms in the area. Driving past these two grand Sikh temples, I never knew that about this small but quaint little town in the mid north coast. Did you? #woolgoolga #sikh #sikhtemples #religioustemple @ Woolgoolga, New South Wales

22.01.2022 Sunset over Byron. It was rather busy up the top end of the beach near the car park. Lots of backpackers. Rather challenging trying to keep a physical distance. #byronbay #byronbaylife #byronbeach #sunset #beach #beachlife #travelphoto #roadtrip #roadtrippin #roadtripping #sonya6000 #sonya6000photography #sonya6000camera

20.01.2022 Can’t wait for weather to warm up a little before heading out on the kayak again. Winter, be gone already. #longjetty #longjettynsw #tuggerahlake #kayaking #kayak #silhoutte #silhouette #reflection #reflections #reflectionshots @ Long Jetty, New South Wales, Australia

20.01.2022 First road trip in months. Post lock down. Gorgeous day on Coffs Harbour jetty. Was lucky to spot a couple of dolphins. See story. #coffsharbour #coffsharbourjetty #roadtrip #roadtrippin #roadtripping #jetty #travelphoto #travel @ Coffs Harbour, New South Wales

18.01.2022 This place once ravaged by the Vietnam War has become a beautiful flooded forest, home to rare species of birds and lotus flowers. Welcome to the Tra Su Forest.

18.01.2022 Some of my fave scenes from Lightning Ridge. Can’t wait to get on the road again! Road trip, road trip!! #roadtrip #roadtripping #roadtrippin #lightningridge #outback #australianoutback #sunset @ Lightning Ridge, New South Wales, Australia

15.01.2022 Long Jetty. Built in 1915 & at 351 m in length, it is the longest jetty in New South Wales. With its clear calm water & reflection, sometimes the prettiest spots are right in your backyard. #longjetty #jetty #jettyfishing #centralcoast #centralcoastnsw #wharf #longjettywharf #coastalliving #coastal #coastallife #goodlife @ Long Jetty Wharf

14.01.2022 When you take two shots of the same scene with only subtle differences & you can’t decide which shot you like better. This is one of those instances. Gorgeous winter day at peaceful & tranquil Saltwater Creek at Long Jetty. I used to struggle with the cold in winter but after over 25 years since moving here from the tropics, I think I have finally acclimatised. It’s not so bad after all. My tropical blood has finally caught up. #saltwatercreek #winter #sydneywinter #winterinsydney #jetty #jettyfishing #longjetty #longjettynsw @ Long Jetty Foreshore Reserve

13.01.2022 Looking 100m down onto the base of Minyon Falls. Two tired hikers look up at me from my lookout at the top of the falls. The 4.5 km hike each way is described as a moderate trek. I would put it as slightly more than moderate for the average fit person - elevation of around 200m & the last few metres before the falls involve a bit of rock hopping & climbing to get to the water. I highly recommend this trek as this subtropical rainforest is just beautiful. The second pic shows the lush green canopy of trees over Nightcap National Park. #nightcapnationalpark #minyonfalls #minyonfallslookout #bushwalking @ Minyon Falls

12.01.2022 Sunrise over Broken Hill Outback Resort. Love this resort. Nice big clean room, bathroom with a spa bath & a view of the amazing outback. @tinalambertphotography #brokenhilloutbackresort #brokenhill #brokenhillnsw #resort #outback #sunrise

12.01.2022 Another gorgeous sunset over main beach, Byron Bay with the reflection over a pool of water. The weather forecast showed rain everyday for the 5 days we’re here at Byron but we’ve had lovely sunshine & temps hovering around 22 degrees. Way warmer than in Sydney! Woohoo! #byronbay #byron #byronbaysunset #sonya6000 #sonya6000camera #sunset #sunsetphotography #sunsetlover #sunsets #sunsetshots #travel #travelphotography #travelphoto #travelphotos #traveling #roadtrip #roadtrippin #roadtripping

12.01.2022 Tiny heritage town of Catherine Hill Bay. The Awabakal were the first people of this coal mining land. Catherine Hill Bay was named after a ship that ran aground in 1867. I love the shape & structure of this pretty disused jetty. Council did a good job totally sealing it off. I just hope they do not ever demolish this 240m iconic wharf built in 1888 - one of the last remaining ocean jetties in Australia’s east coast. I just love this spot. #catherinehill #catherinehillbay #swansea #lakemacquarie #lakemacquariensw

12.01.2022 During this lockdown, like many, I’ve only been eating only home cooked food. Not a fan of Ubereats, Menulog or the like, I love & miss the experience of dining out. And the thought of one of the best meals I have ever had just before the lockdown still makes me drool. I’m a huge fan of a good degustation meal. The joy of enjoying each & every morsel of delicious food brought to your table accompanied with a good drop of wine. Mmmm... Berowra Waters Inn is located on Berow...ra Creek, water frontage, accessible by sea plane if you’re really fancy, or complimentary boat transfer from Berowra Waters. Their menu is superb, ingredients - the freshest & tastiest local produce. Highly recommended. A meal to die for. Just allow a leisurely afternoon to fully enjoy the whole experience. Their amazing summer 6 course meal: 1) Kingfish, Nash I & cucumber 2) Crab & miso 3) Chicken & mushroom 4) Beef, garlic & leek 5) Pumpkin & mandarine 6) Tooheys Old, barley & caramel #berowrawatersinn #degustationmeal

08.01.2022 I love waterfalls. This is Minyon Falls, on Repentance Creek in the Northern Rivers region of NSW. In Nightcap National Park, about 45 mins by car from Byron Bay. Waterfall plunges about 100m down. Go when there’s recent rainfall to enjoy the plunging water in all its glory. Did I mention I love waterfalls? The 4.5 km trek each way to the base was such fun! 200m elevation. Great workout & I ended up with a blood sucking leech attached to my ankle at the end of it. It’s my way of giving back. There is a slightly shorter route option but not it’s not as beautiful. #minyonfalls #waterfall #waterfalls #waterfallsofinstagram #northernrivers #repentancecreek #nightcapnationalpark #bushwalking #bushwalkingadventures @ Minyon Falls

03.01.2022 Can't wait to wine & dine again soon! In the meantime, I'm reliving this wonderful degustation meal I had at Berowra Waters Inn shortly before lockdown.
