24.01.2022 THE TEAM AT ABROSIA THERAPIES We are currently in a holding pattern due to Stage 4 restrictions, but we are hoping that with easing of restrictions in September that we will be permitted to resume remedial massage services. 21.01.2022 STAGE 3 RESTRICTIONS ARE BACK IN PLACE Abrosia Therapies will revert to Stage 3 Restrictions from 9th July 2020. This will include limiting services to remedial, therapeutic & pre-natal massage only, capping of service duration to a maximum of 60 mins, reduced opening hours and restricting online & phone bookings only to existing customers with no risk of COVID infection while Stage 3 Restrictions are in place.... Abrosia Therapies will continue to operate at required dhhs standards for hygiene and customers who are unwell should not book any services until such time as they are feeling well and have been cleared of any COVID risk. 13.01.2022 Recent updates from DHHS and Massage & Myotherapy Australia, have indicated that remedial massage will not be allowed to resume until at least 19th Oct 2020 with the stage 3 easing of restrictions in metro Melbourne. 12.01.2022 Ross is FINALLY a qualified remedial massage therapist with the arrival in the mail today of his official certificate from the Gordon TAFE after over 12 months of study and practical assessments. It’s been a bit of a bumpy ride with COVID interrupting the usual study routine, but thanks to the wonders of Zoom and some wonderful teachers, the end result was worth it. Thanks to Fabian and the Abrosia team for their valued support while Ross has been busy studying. So now the pr...ocess begins to get his provider numbers sorted for Private Health Insurance so we can process rebates for both his remedial and pregnancy massage services. Abrosia Therapies is currently closed due to stage 4 restrictions, but we are hoping that with continued progress in Melbournes COVID strategies, we can reopen again soon. 09.01.2022 The current situation with COVID Stay Safe Directions (No 3) and restricted postcodes present us with challenging times once again. Abrosia Therapies will remain operating as usual for the time being until such time that restrictions require. We will continue all our usual services while taking all precautions & directives required as advised by the dhhs including cleaning and sanitising of facilities and equipment, hand washing & sanitising for therapists between treatments ...and customers upon entry to the clinic, wearing of facemasks by therapists while treating and limiting the number of customers in the clinic waiting areas in accordance with recommended guidelines. 01.01.2022 WHICH COMMON ESSENTIAL OIL MAY INHIBIT COVID INFECTION? A research study conducted in PG dept of Biotechnology, Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar by Arun Dev Sharma and Inderjeet Kaur has found Eucalyptol (1,8 cineole) from eucalyptus essential oil to be a potential inhibitor of COVID 19 corona virus infection. Eucalyptol (1,8 cineole) is one of the compounds found in Eucalyptus Globulus also known as the common Blue Gum. Eucalyptus has long been used by indigenous cultures to fight off infection, for respiratory and muscular ailments and it is well known for it’s beneficial effects in relieving symptoms of the common cold and flu through inhalation and topical application.
