So much progress with level 1's learning level 2 rescues, and everyone having a think about emergency response in a relaxed environment. Open invite to all rope techs l...ooking to advance their skills. As a rope access operations company, we have now taken it upon ourselves to priortise rescue training and refreshers. This is a perfect opportunity to work on the techniques and skills that you may be a little less confident in, and to ask those silly questions you may avoid when you're 'too busy' day in day out. There are no dumb questions here, we cultivate an inclusive and nurturing environment with the intention of providing rope techs of all levels with any help they need to progress in their skill and confidence. Taking a little time out to refresh your skills, no matter your level of experience, will make you a safer rope tech. We have a couple of level 3 supervisors on duty and can officially provide IRATA refresher training to keep qualifications current for those who don't get on ropes very often. If rope access technicians do not use rope access methods for a period of more than six months, they are required to undergo refresher training. The training should be appropriate for each individual and should be recorded in his or her logbook. Refresher training: shall be carried out by an IRATA International Level 3 rope access technician; shall not be carried out during operational duties; may involve the need to undergo a full training course.
