20.01.2022 We've added a few new pieces to our tea wares collection with a few more exciting additions on the way! These are double wall glass bottles with a removable stainless steel infuser and bamboo look screw top lid. Not only are they #aesthetic but their double wall means that your drinks stay hot (or cold) for longer without burning (or freezing) your finger tips.

14.01.2022 ~ The Tea Legend ~ The history of tea dates back to ancient China, around 5000 years ago and the story goes... In 2732 BC, Emperor Shen Nung discovered tea when leaves fell into his pot of water boiling on the fire. He was immediately interested in the scent these leaves gave to the water and drank some. Legend says the Emperor described a warm feeling as he drank the intriguing brew, as if the liquid was investigating every part of his body. He then named the drink "ch'a",... the Chinese character which means to check or investigate. In 200BC, a Han Dynasty Emperor ruled that a special character be used when referring to tea because of the way tea brought humankind into balance with nature for the Chinese culture. Check out this TED-Ed video which provides a more in depth story.
08.01.2022 If it were your choice, would you rather us bring back the 50g bag option OR introduce sample sizes of our blends? Our 50g size brews roughly 20 cups of tea and our sample sizes will brew roughly 5 cups.
08.01.2022 Let's talk tea! Purists would stick their nose in the air if they heard you refer to your pot of Chamomile as "tea" because it is in fact not! All tea comes from one plant and one plant alone - Camellia sinensis. There are two varieties - Camellia sinensis sinensis traditionally grown in China and Camellia sinensis assamica traditionally grown in India. It is a tree. And if left to do its own thing, could grow as tall as NINE metres! Woah! However, most tea farmers maintain... the plants to around one metre in height due to ongoing harvesting. Environmental factors play a large role in the way a harvest plays out including tea quality, taste and yield. The exciting thing though is that all our types of teas - black, green, white, oolong and yellow - are a result of the way the tea plant is processed. I'll spend some time sharing some more tea talk about the different types of tea over the next weeks. credit: @unsplash
07.01.2022 Let's talk safety for a moment! It's #nationalburnsawarenessmonth and I don't think this could have come at a better time, to be honest. I know, you're thinking "boiling water is hot, we get it". But here's a reminder that accidents happen and it's important that we know how to treat a burn in the event of one occurring. ... Last weekend, I sighed relief as I finally found 5 minutes to sit in peace and enjoy a cup (well, mug) of tea when I somehow spilled the entire contents across my arm and down my leg. Boiling hot, black tea. Thank goodness that I have an electrician as a partner with a burns kit sitting in his work car. Electrical burns are a completely different piece of the pie but require the same initial first aid. I am thankful that the burn is healing and it is just a surface injury with no permanent damage or scarring. I am also so thankful that my 5 minutes came with my daughter's nap time.

04.01.2022 PSA: There will be a small price increase on some of our products and will be reflected from mid-July.
