11.01.2022 We are currently busy doing the Ramsay Bay beach cleanup on Hinchinbrook Island until the 12th of October. For all your transfer needs post cleanup please visit www.hinchinbrookisland.com.au or www.hinchinbrookislandferry.com.au

10.01.2022 Have returned from a wonderfully epic and challenging climb to the highest ramparts of Hinchinbrook Island (Bandjin country). It is a place of profound wilderne...ss integrity and aesthetic beauty, unmatched across many swathes of Australia. It is a place so special it has the distinction of being worthy of being listed twice for World Heritage! Over the years those who have respected these wilderness values have fought against multiple threats such as communication towers, helipads, jetties and pontoons, private lease accommodation, and mass tourism. Thus far the Island has been managed for its cultural and wilderness values, yet those who seek a quick buck to exploit this resource are always lurking, ready to pounce. We must stay vigilant.

09.01.2022 Simply the best...

08.01.2022 What a year! Absolute North Charters would like to thank all that travelled to Hinchinbrook island with us this year. The response by all to the crisis QLD and the rest of the country found itself in was incredible. We are very pleased to have met you all and hope to see you when you yet again, take a walk on the wild side. To all, Merry Merry Christmas.... Keep safe and have a great new year. See more

04.01.2022 Over 2100 kilogram of Debri was removed from Ramsay Bay beach from the 8th to the 11th of October. Next year there will be much more than that coming from that ...location as we are already planning a much bigger assault on this rubbish hotspot. Absolute North would like to thank all the volunteers who registered with Tangaroa Blue for this event. Special mention to the guys from Queensland Parks and GBRMPA staff who supported this event and for the use of their equipment. It is greatly appreciated. Also, special thanks to the Cardwell Walkie Talkies for catering the lunches for the Saturday and Sunday crews. See you all next year! See more
