24.01.2022 Our next artist is Adam Christ. Adam’s work is titled ‘I don’t want to talk about it’. Abstracting Time III is now on show at Sidespace Gallery. We’re really proud of how this exhibition has come together. Come, bring a friend and see some beautiful drawings, sculpture and diverse printmaking processes on display.

20.01.2022 Our next printmaker, Catherine Rogers, has a selection of two and three dimensional linocut prints, sculptures and artist books on show. These works represent some of the prints and drawings created during the past year- imperfect prints of an imperfect landscape - of geological and topographical formations, patterns and textures...These prints are about letting go and accepting what is and what will be. Pictured below is Exfoliation by Catherine, a series of rock layers m...ade from cast assorted linocuts on paper. There are only a few days left to catch Abstracting Time III with the last day being Tuesday 12 March. Come in and take a look at some beautifully diverse works of art.

19.01.2022 Our next artist, Lynne Worrall, has used the techniques of frottage, embossing and graphite on rice paper, to stunning effect. In Lynne’s words: ‘bark, the outer covering of stems, branches and tree trunks, is similar to skin in that textures, marks and blemishes develop as the plant or tree grows, ages, or is damaged. These marks take many forms: some repetitive, some ulcerated and cracked whilst others have beautiful skin-like folds. I have used frottage to transfer the ...textures onto hand torn Kozo paper. Tearing reveals the paper’s soft warp and weft fibres. The images have then been glued to thicker, contrasting shades of paper, some within embossing frames.’ Come and have a look at Lynne’s work and the work of 7 other printmakers, at Abstracting Time III, now on show at the Sidespace Gallery in Salamanca. Pictured below is ‘Snap’ by Lynne Worrall.

11.01.2022 Well our opening last night was really HOT, HOT, HOT Just a short video here of how hot it was-our postcards were put to really good use as substitute fans. Thank you to Dr Mary Scott who opened our show and everyone else who came out in this unseasonably warm weather. The show continues until 12 March. We hope you enjoy it.
