23.01.2022 Hi folks ! Abundance Zone is on the re-boot! A couple of months ago our area flooded and the river pretty much took out our whole vege garden. Though heartbreaking at the time to see all our toil washed away, luckily we had plenty of our Bushfire Blend sauce stocked up and a deep freezer full of chillies and other produce to keep our little business rolling! With a bit of time all is coming about and Lochy has begun rebuilding our 'Abundance Zone'! ... Though he reduced the gardens size to about a third of what it was, it will be more maintainable and can expand again later as we re-establish things. Here he is planting out new beds with winter greens and all sortsa goodness! Has also potted the chilli plants that survived, now in their own little nursery. We are trialling a new sauce- Smokey Eggplant Fatali, not as hot as Bushfire Blend, 3 out of 5 heat?... And also these 2 seasonings / rubs! I am using our generic label with added printed names until we see how they go and order bulk labels which inc.NIP etc. Currently these 3 new products are only available at - Multy- Cut Meats in Yorkeys Knob, The Chilli Shop in Heritage Markets Kuranda, or direct through us at Holloways Market! (Though we must apologise as cannot be at the up-coming market on June 17, but will be at the next!) If you try them we would appreciate your feedback! 17.01.2022 A really cool thing happened the other day, something (or rather someone) I’ve been searching for, found me at my market stall... a Nth Qld based commercial grower of super hot chilli varieties! It’s been a lot of work tending the chilli plants, together with managing the business itself, producing the sauces etc, plus running my Art of ION business, and manning my permanent stall 4 days a week! For several reasons including financial and all that was torn asunder during 2020..., I’ve not been able to drop the ball on any part of it. In recent months I was picking 6-8kg every couple of days plus fert’ing, watering, pruning... the pic shown is the result of a few hrs picking after the rare event of going away for 3 days for mates Bday! My efforts have resulted in 2 lrg box freezers maxed out with produce! But the chilli bushes have just about done their thing after their 2nd season and I’ve been daunted by the work required to reboot the whole set up with the limited time and energy I have remaining.... and then ba-bam appears the professional grower, a consistent and reliable source I’ve been seeking to handle that side of things! Thankyou Steve of Bings Peppers, you are a godsend at this point mate!...when I’ve gone through the produce I have, which may last the rest of the year , I really look forward to you being Abundance Zones supplier of top quality fresh chillies to give the sauces their awesome burn, without burning me out! Finally the official labels are ready for our 3 new products! 2 seasonings and the newly tweaked version of 'Smokey Styles- Chilli BBQ Sauce', (3 out 5 heat scale), now in a 250ml bottle for the same price as our Bushfire Blend Proper Hot Sauce! As of yesterday the new products are available in Kuranda from 'The Chilli Shop',... 'Tropical Pulse', or 'Rare Earth Oils' (sauces only), and in Cairns in 'The Jerky and Nut Shop'. 13.01.2022 First markets of the Year!! Come on down to Holloways Beach and say g'day. Plenty of "Bushfire Blend" with lots of organic chem free pumpkin and eggplant. We'll also be holding space for...... Blake and Jace's Seed Station - featuring hand collected and packed seeds. Snake beans, Tromboncino zucchini, Purple Dancer eggplant, Coriander, Hale's Best rockmelon. Printed framed and canvas artworks will also adorn the stall, from the amazingly talented Art of Imogen O'Neil :-)

11.01.2022 I want to thank all of you who ordered sauces online during lockdown and also those of you who have bought directly from me or outlets since markets re-opened a few months ago. Your support is hugely appreciated during these challenging times. Public as this page is I’m going to be honest, as this business feels very personal to me. Everything has changed...strange n testing tiimes for so many ppl globally, ‘first world problems’ pale! However... I’m sad to say what drov...e me to create and persevere with this little family business these last 3 yrs, has gone with recent seperation. I’ve deliberately let this page rest in recent months. My full respect to its roots, our loving co-creation shone proper bright for a time! But it’s a lot of menial work to get a small business like this off the ground with no capital, requires continued interest, re-investment, consistency... many other life stresses took their toll on us both... and although with perseverance the ’Abundance Zone’ has finally begun to float now, it was not a thing I envisioned doing on my own, never my initial intention. So tis necessary I find my own closure and redirect focus now, ultimately free my heart and time towards new creative projects! And yet I abhor wasted energy... so a bit more work ahead...I cannot drop the ball here until I at least level my investment n payouts, which means selling current stock, boosting and streamlining things over the next 6-12months, so that I can potentially sell it on as a small business package, else wind it up. During this process, as I utilise the produce I have on hand, I will continue to put all the effort, care and fresh local n homegrown ingredients as always!... Thankyou in advance for your ongoing support and custom as I take the steps to ready things for new hands, new dreams, and wishes for abundance for all! May it be a brighter year ahead... Not necessarily related to our chilli sauces, but here's something cool we've had a go at lately- growing pink and brown oyster mushrooms, thanx to some trial starter kits from Richard of Cairns Exotic Mushrooms! He should have them available soon! It's hard to see in the pic but when I awakened yesterday morn they were 'spawning'...amazing!..,plumes of fine mist (spores) rising from them! So cool to watch, and so yummy!

08.01.2022 Hi all...well these recent months have certainly been a strange n challenging time in the world to say the least! In taking tentative steps forward to maintain my small businesses, both my art prints, and chilli sauces, a few weeks ago I began a stall in the beautiful and quirky Original Kuranda Rainforest Market! I am directly opposite ‘La Fonda Latina’ Cafe and ‘Petit Cafe’ French Creperie Much as I appreciate experience gained it is truly a relief at this time to have... a break from the huge stress of driving/lugging stock n gazebos/setting up/packing down that I did every wknd last year for the big local pop up markets. Of these I will only be continuing Palm Cove Markets once a month for now. I am currently here in Kuranda Original Markets Thursdays through to Sundays. It’s a bright n happy atmosphere here where I feel safe and supported, and whatever my weather, the friendly faces remind one to smile and the awesome women get me laughing! There’s amazing food places, unique sights and cool things to be found in both of the markets here and all around Kuranda, ‘tis a great destination for a day trip! Its also wonderful seeing so many people enjoying holidaying closer to home and supporting local! My new 100% cotton T-shirts arrived, men’s and women’s, screen-printed with my original designs! Happy to say this humble order helped support my printer friend and his family in Bali during these last couple of months too! I aim to list them in my Etsy soon! 05.01.2022 Hello Local FNQ Chilli growers! Can u help pls? I am chasing fresh or frozen Habaneros and Carolina Reapers primarily, also any mixed super hot varieties asap! (ghost, scorpion, 7pod etc). Sauces moving fast as market season kicks in , finally some return after 2yrs of reinvesting!...but freezer be empty of last years produce. Only short a few kg for imminent cook but also interested in regular purchase of several kg until try re-seed some garden remnants in Spring . ... I can pay cash, trade sauces or both, even if you only have a coupla hundred grams from a stray bush, I’d appreciate them. Please pm me, thanx in advance! See more

03.01.2022 Our chilli sauce still going hot! I just posted 6 bottles to Japan! Have also previously posted to Austria, Germany and around Oz thanx to sales to international travellers from places like 'The Chilli Shop'! But we are needing more outlets this year if anyone has any suggestions...(they must be driving distance from us, or something, coz freight be a killer!)...preferably places frequented by tourists, grey nomads etc as they tend to be happier to pay a bit more for a local made product. As we are a small biz our production costs are much higher making it hard to compete with other brands in local butchers etc. But thankfully the more touristy outlets are doing great! Ping us any ideas!
