The... author of the quote, Tim Noakes, is a South African scientist and Professor in the Division of Exercise Science and Sports Medicine at the University of Cape Town. He recently won a long court case in South Africa against the local Dietitians Association, as he was promoting a low carb nutrition plan for many chronic health conditions such as heart disease, diabetes, and even for the general population as a preventative against such conditions. A low carb plan is the opposite of the Dietitians' approach, being a high carb plan! Tim Noakes is a researcher of nutrition and exercise science, and the author of several books on these subjects. His scientific research and references on the benefits of a low carb nutrition plan won against the "high carb" government food guidelines promoted by the Dietitians Association. We need to have the same legal action here in Australia, and in other countries around the world! This will prevent and reduce the many epidemics of chronic diseases we are currently facing, which are directly caused by and exacerbated by the "high carb" government food guidelines. These guidelines were written by our Dietitians Association of Australia, who are "sponsored" by many food industry corporations, or in other words, the food guidelines are the biased advice provided by a corrupt Dietitians Association who are only interested in their funding from food companies, and not on providing you or the general public with evidence-based nutrition advice. 05.01.2022 We have always maintained 'a bit of butter is better than any margarine'. Why? Because the fats in dairy, even saturated, are not as bad for you as assumed (for... over 50 years). In fact, there is reasonable research to suggest dairy fat is protective against breast cancer. Yes, you should not go mad on it, portions are important, but more because of energy density than anything. However, just the mere human input into the manufacturing of margarine, the processes it goes through, and the end composition is enough to suggest to stay away from it.
