12.01.2022 This is from Joel A’Bell on a different social platform that I use. It’s such a thought provoking read that I thought I’d share it here. Let me know what you think. I used to catch the bus into the city everyday for work. It was a long trip in choked traffic conditions. You could tell it stressed people in different ways. ... Our bus stop was a main hub that an express bus would stop for. It meant there weren’t as many stops before the end of the line. The all stops bus was quite frustrating as people were always getting on and off along the journey. Life is very similar to this. Some people are with you at the beginning but choose a different journey. Others get on the same line with you but get off part way along. Others ride for a long time with you and others join later but become the best of friends. There are similar people everyday who I would wait with for my bus but not everybody got on the same bus. When you travel often enough you notice things, like why is that lady sitting up the front now? She always sits down the back. Or, I wonder why that guy just got off? He always gets off closer to the bridge. Have you noticed yet that some people join your journey for only part of your trip? Others sit near you everyday but are not interested in your life. Some people surprise you with kindness and still others become journey friends. I have learned that it’s good to be generous with all types of people. Be generous with those who are different. Be generous in your assumptions with those who leave your life early. And definitely be generous with those who travel the whole journey with you. Let’s celebrate the differences of the people we do life with. You just never know who is going to ride along with you or which new people will join your journey. Regardless, people are wonderful in their own way and generosity helps you have future friends. How do you navigate the different people on your journey? Joel A’Bell

06.01.2022 Hi all, due to changes made by the NSW Government our Blayney leadership group have decided we have no real option than to go back to Online church. As a team we discussed this & believe we can make it work by having church online & various homes. We really encourage you to invite people over & watch the service together. There are no restrictions to singing at home churches. Why not add a meal as well!... Our E connect will continue with Francis Chan however I will be changing the uploads to once a week rather than twice as people seem to be struggling to find time for two a week. As the weather warms up we will be organising church picnics to maintain that sense of connection. In this new normal there are no rules. It is up to ALL of US to do something. Remember YOU are the church. This is the time for hospitality. Thanks for your continued generosity & please continue to give as we still have commitments to meet.
