25.01.2022 Did you know the majority of fruit and veg grown in Australia comes from seeds produced by two seed companies (based in the U.S and Germany). Here at Abundant we're breaking the mould, breeding seeds for high yield and flavour, bred and grown here in Australia. Check out this great video clip from Channel 7. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o0u65fd9Kug

23.01.2022 Happy Fresh Tomato Day! At Abundant we believe every day should be fresh Tomato Day when the tomatoes are as tasty as ours !

23.01.2022 Fantastic morning in Coffs Harbour region visiting local Cucumber and Tomato Growers to establish some winter trials in the area. Its always interesting to see how producers manage their crops in different regions. As well as get feedback on grower needs and challenges.

22.01.2022 The Royal Agricultural Society of NSW recently spoke to our very own Graham Brown about hybrids for this month's RAS Times. You'll find the article "The Nature of Science: When farmers cross paths with scientists, the results could help feed the world" https://abundantseedscom.files.wordpress.com//the-science-

22.01.2022 Our greenhouse team have been working overtime on our next Tomato crop, pruning and training the vines. But I think we can all agree they look amazing!

22.01.2022 We love seeing all the culinary creations staff and friends of Abundant make. This snapshot of Wenjing was taken after a small office tasting with pickles brought in from home. What would you make with your Abundant cucumbers? Grab some seeds, get growing and get creative!

21.01.2022 Job satisfaction at 110% when you witness Grower success first hand. Late planted winter Mini Cucumbers in Virginia, SA. Healthy strong plants, amazing fruit set and great quality produce makes happy farmers. Quality produce developed in Australia, grown in Australia, to feed Australian families. Doesnt get much better than that.

21.01.2022 Late last week, we were able to go visit a local Sydney grower, having great success with one of our summer varieties. So great being in the field seeing growers impressed with yield, plant vigour and fruit quality.

17.01.2022 In the Coffs Harbour region today checking on newly planted summer crops & some outstanding spring production. Great to see the local growers embracing the Abundant varieties in back to back crops / seasons. Even more fantastic to see consistent high quality fruit production year round from our seeds.

13.01.2022 Happy National Agriculture Day to our friends over in the US! Very proud and grateful for all that farmers and those in Ag do for us.

11.01.2022 With the last day of summer today, and the weather starting to cool, its a great time to be growing before the winter months.

10.01.2022 Early morning crop check on some winter cucumbers in Coffs Harbour that have continued picking well into spring. An extra few weeks picking the Abundant variety gives a grower less down time waiting for his spring crop to fruit. Even on the older vines the fruit colour and quality is very impressive & the winter variety is holding strong in the warmer coffs weather.

09.01.2022 We are in the Virginia region of south Australia today, checking on our mini cucumbers that are being grown. This plant is currently the farmers 4th crop of Abundants mini variety. Grower feedback is very positive, stating that the quality of the fruit is better than anything he has grown, with no crop loss to colour or shape issues.

08.01.2022 Our beautiful tomatoes are starting to flower and fruit at Cobbitty this week. Its the best & busiest time of the season with our greenhouses full of happy cucumber and tomato plants.

08.01.2022 Counting Seeds in the office today! Counting cucumber seed stock for production results and yield. After the stock count we'll send samples for health analysis and testing, and finally the seeds will end up in cold storage, trials or off for sale.

06.01.2022 We just topped up our Miranda tomato seed collection...Get yours now at https://abundant-seeds.myshopify.com/! These tomatoes are waaay sweeter than what are in most stores and you get to grow them yourself!

06.01.2022 Isn't it cool to see what seeds from various vegetables look like? Even though we know what they look like in the fruit/veg, it's completely different to see them dried and harvested, ready for a new planting! Was mesmerised by these photos from a Chilean Organic vegetable farm, @LaBiohectarea 's instagram.

06.01.2022 Today is National Agriculture Day. A great day to celebrate the achievements of Australian farmers, who work so hard to provide food and fibre for not just Australia but the world. Did you know 2/3 of the people fed by Australian farmers dont even live in Australia! Thats how amazing our farmers are. ... #growforgood #agday

06.01.2022 Great way to finish the week, looking at some local winter production - with great fruit volume and quality.

05.01.2022 Counting out Mini cucumber seeds for orders to be dispatched this week. Our mini variety tolerates the cold weather well, so growers are taking advantage and planting for spring early.

05.01.2022 Our current crop of cucumbers are looking incredible in our cobbity greenhouse. So many flowers and fruits on the way!

04.01.2022 Note to Self, Do not eat all the research. No matter how good they taste.

03.01.2022 Fresh seeds from a recent cucumber harvest drying out in some winter sun last week in Cobbitty, NSW... Gorgeous!

02.01.2022 The value of Australian fresh horticulture exports has nearly tripled over the past five years, growing from $846.5 million in 2012 to $2.23 billion in 2017. Fresh fruit exports are generating more than half this value! #funfactfriday

01.01.2022 In Adelaide today inspecting a crop of summer Lebanese cucumbers - for a first time grower this crop is fantastic 3 weeks from transplanting, uniform and great consistency across the entire house.
