24.01.2022 Congratulations to Maureen Kirkman for winning the 2020 Minor Singles. It was a hard fought game where Maureen held on to win over a gallant Lee Hallam 25 - 17. The photo below Left to Right. Lee Hallam, President Beverly Byrne and Maureen Kirkman.

22.01.2022 The Major Championships are over for 2020. Now our attention is on the Minor Singles which starts this Tuesday September 22, come along to Avoca Beach Bowling and Rec Club to watch. The draw is below.

21.01.2022 Congatulations to Del Ayre and Lyn Thompson who are the innaugural champions of the Major Minor Pairs. They defeated Margaret Morris and Carol Wilkinson in a hard fought final which was forced to a tie break.



20.01.2022 Pesident Bev presented Gwen Doyle with flowers to help Gwen celebrate her 90th birthday. Gwen is a valued long term member of our club and we all wish her good health and happiness in coming years.

18.01.2022 Bowls is off today. All games schedule today and Thursday will be played Thursday 29th Oct. See you in the sun.

17.01.2022 Our Major/Minor Pairs competition entries close on Tuesday, 20th October and starts on 27th October. Every member can still enter, however we currently have a shortage of Minor entries in the competition. So if you have never won a club major championship or a minor competition then please come along and have some FUN and get your entry in before closing date. The teams will be drawn out of a hat for all to see.



17.01.2022 The 2020 Ladies Triples Championship has commenced. Round 1 has been played and we have already seen some wonderful bowling. So come along next Tuesday to watch some more.

07.01.2022 Karen Croker (Ettalong) and Lee Thompson (Avoca Beach) won the 2020 Region 6 Mixed Pairs when they defeated Lake Macquarie 4 to 1. They now progress to the NSW State Championships held February 2021.



07.01.2022 What a fitting game for the final of the Triples. The 2020 champions are Lesley Aarsen, Linda Pointing and Margaret Morris with a score of 19 to 15, they defeated Colleen Winder, Elizabeth Lochte and Pat Kearton. Congratulations to all on a great game.

03.01.2022 Congratulations to Graham (Archie) Ross and Peter Andrews who today defeated Davistown 24 to 15 to move into the Zone 15 OPEN Pairs final. The final will be played tomorrow at 10am at Ettalong Memorial Bowling Club. Come along and cheer Avoca on. A special mention to Daved Peckham and Garry McFadyen (who substituted for Keith Ferrier) in the Zone Senior Pairs semi-final. They played gallantly in their game with Terrigal, going down 16 to 27.

01.01.2022 The final of Consistency was played on Thursday. And what a game it was, between two very skilled players, with Del Ayre scoring 151 to edge out to edge out Margaret Morris 148. Congratulation to Del who is pictured below holding the trophy with Margaret on her left and VP Sandra Elderfield to the right.
