08.01.2022 Been a very busy period for some of the Abyss team on one of our latest projects & everyone is looking forward to getting a rest again! Check out stage 1 of our works for a new Client on Belmore Station as part of the Sydney Metro upgrade works on the Sydenham to Bankstown line over a two week long possession. Our scope of the FRP had an unplanned delayed start last Saturday but the lads smashed it out, forming over 250 linear meters of curved cantilever platform edges, ins...talling over 35t of steel & mesh & pouring 230m3 of concrete in less than 7 shifts to pull the programme right back to where it needed to be Finishing touches are currently being added and the work looks awesome as always! Back next month for round 2. 01.01.2022 A short throw back to a recent project Abyss Construction have completed - a small vehicle maintenance structure as an add on to one of our substation builds. This one was a tidy little package - some pile extensions/columns, two abutments, 6 x approx 17m precast girders, deck slab, approach slab and precast parapet walls/barriers. All completed ahead of schedule. The finished product looks superb, all thanks to the team on site as usual!...
