14.01.2022 Changing Places Australia want you to nominate the Changing Places facility that you think is best designed in Australia. This could be informed by the tiles, the exterior design, or its consideration of sensitivity issues. Go to: https://changingplaces.org.au/changing-places-design-compe/ to nominate your favourite facility and for more information about the competition. Nominated facilities will be judged by a panel of Changing Places and Sensory experts to be named The Be...st Designed Changing Places in Australia, 2021. There will also be $1000 donated to the charity of the facility owner’s choice. We’re proud to have this competition sponsored by Equal Access. Bruce Bromley, Equal Access Managing Director, Changing Places Assessor and co-author of the Australian Changing Places Design Specifications, assesses and certifies a lot of Changing Places. Day to day, he sees many compliant, yet clinical facilities. Bruce is throwing down the challenge to architects, designers and facility owners to make Changing Places as welcoming and visually appealing as possible. This will take into consideration design elements such as the justification for design, colour, exterior design and consideration for the function of the facility.
