22.01.2022 Amazing today....warm sunshine, then out of the blue (really) HAILSTONES!!! What an unusual thing to happen in Nice November on KI :) And affterwards, a small friendly blue tounge lizzard was sunning himself by the Just Joey rose.

16.01.2022 Pastor Jonah from Uganda Returns to Kangaroo Island Pastor Jonah will bring a report of the growth of his school in Kampala. Several Islanders are supporting this vital project, sponsoring twenty children from this school between them. Education is highly prized, equipping people to escape lives of poverty. Peoples lives are transformed as they trust Christ, finding hope and healing in a place where help is hard to find Pastor Jonah offers some help for people to find work, ...or to start little businesses. He conducts Kids Camp outs for needy young people, to encourage and support them to develop healthy relationships, and to grow in faith and leadership skills. This coming Year, Pastor Louise Davis from Kangaroo island (uniting Church) will accompany Pastor Jonah to North Uganda for ministry to children from desperately poor families. Pastor Jonah will speak at the Kingscote Uniting Church tomorrow (Sunday) night. We will share a meal at 6pm and continue a service at 7pm . There will be opportunity for personal sharing, and prayer. Uniting Church, corner Murray and Franklin Street, 6pm Sunday 5th March

And we ARE open all year with many brilliant mid-year experiences on KI. And Acacia guests can come home at night to a warm indoor pool and spa pool. warm and inviting apartments, and a pot of Deidres excellent soup delivered to your table. (order before you set out for the day)

11.01.2022 Saw a quite large echidna walking through Acacia at 7:15 this morning. Think it may be heading to the seafront. I kept an eye on a smaller one a few weeks ago, and it headed toward the sea. Fascinating. My grandchildren and i had to take oue from one of the apartments once. It must have been inside for a day or two :) Arent they wonderful?

03.01.2022 A great place to stay for the racing... Gail Weckert A great place to stay for the racing carnival. Convenient, well equipped & roomy & the hostess, Deidre, was very obliging. The perfect place to stay for three couples travelling together as we had adjoining one bedroom apartments with a common garden area for socialising or BBQ. We would certainly stay again & recommend to others.
