17.01.2022 Hi everyone, here is another weekly report from the Magnetic Island Taxis Service. It seems to be getting busier and busier on the Island particularly on the we...ekends. The ferries were jam packed with people coming over here for the weekend which made us extremely busy. I had to laugh at some of the weird and whacky costumes I saw on Friday/Saturday night. I picked up some dark men from XBase and they wore colourful Hawaiian shirts with lots of dangling flowers and ornaments. In their midst was a huge pink bunny rabbit who also hopped into the car! It wasn't until I nearly got the giant bunny rabbit home that I knew who it was as I recognised his voice lol. I was kept busy on Monday and Tuesday also and had numerous requests from people wanting me to take them to the Forts walk. A lovely lady called Kaleigh took an excellent shot of a mother and baby koala up there recently. See photo below. 13.01.2022 Hi everyone, here is another weekly report from the Magnetic Island Taxis Service. It was a profitable weekend with plenty of action! Birthday parties, bucks pa...rties and hen's parties kept us very busy. Apart from that there was the usual Restaurant and night club crowd. There was also a large group of men staying in Horseshoe Bay that belonged to a footy punting club. They used us a lot over the weekend and our Maxi was in high demand. I also picked up a nice young couple who had cycled all the way over the Horseshoe Bay hill. They told me they even passed some slow scooters along the way! They were a bit disappointed there weren't better bike paths and found the road very dangerous. That's why they called us for the return trip and we were able to transport them plus their 2 bikes safely back to the Terminal. 11.01.2022 Hi everyone, here is another weekly report from the Magnetic Island Taxis Service. The past weekend wasn't as busy for me particularly as I was driving the Seda...n, and not the Maxi. We have big groups of people wanting to go out on Friday and Saturday night, so the demand for a Maxi is astronomical! Anyway I enjoyed the change, as it wasn't the high pressure that I am used to, and both nights were cruisy for me. We have 2 new Drivers now which helps a great deal. One of them is called Henry (my father's second name) and the other one is Ryan. They are both doing a good job and are well known locals also. Ryan did his first shift on his own on Saturday night, and he loved it! He met some nice young people from Noodles Mexican Restaurant who gave him a Sombrero hat to wear.
