25.01.2022 Well we did it!! 2020 Concert Movie Magic. I am so proud of all our students and how well they coped yesterday , but more importantly for how beautifully they performed. Judging by faces and a few excited squeals every now and then, I would say everyone enjoyed themselves. I captured a few special moments from backstage .

23.01.2022 Some of our students have been writing letters, drawing pictures and making cards, but most importantly helping to make the residents of McLean Care very happy. These people havent been able to have family or friends enter the building to visit during this time of isolation. Some of our girls have received letters in return, and have also loved the good old fashioned form of communication, and receiving mail. Thank you Allyson Gardner for getting this started. 14.01.2022 Today is international Thank A Dance Teacher Day and we would like to send an enormous THANK YOU to all our Registered Teaching Members for their resilience, ...strength and courage in the face of COVID-19. Pivoting their business from face to face studio teaching to online-based learning has not been an easy task but many have made the switch so dancers can continue to learn with their professional support. Those who haven't adapted to classes online have fought hard to support their students in other ways with resources, community and kindness. 13.01.2022 TECHNIQUE TUESDAY!!! With so many dancers at home taking classes, we are going to be posting technical tips to remind yourself of when your working. TIP! Dancer...s! Your only as strong as your feet! They are what you stand, balance, releve, travel, pirouette, jump and land on...... so they are pretty important. Dont forget there are 5 points to go through in a simple tendu- flattened foot (no cramping), quarter, half (demi pointe- ankle fully extended), three quarters and full pointe. All these positions need to work with resistance from the floor to give the full articulation of the foot and strengthen all those intrinsic muscles. Extra bonus! It doesnt matter what shape your foot is, using foot articulation will develop beautiful foot work and give a much nicer look/illusion the shape of your foot. So get tendu...ing everyone. 08.01.2022 This is very exciting news to be going back to dance sooner than first thought. ONLY those students who have danced online will return to dance at the hall next week. This way we are not risking breaching COVID-19 restrictions. In order to abide by the all regulations, all other students can return to dance in Term 3.

01.01.2022 ** 20 people per premise ** CovidSafe INDUSTRY plan There has been some confusion about the 20 people per premise rule in the media and on social media. It is 2...0 people per premise unless otherwise approved with a CovidSafe INDUSTRY plan. The requirements for this industry plan were announced last Tuesday and we have been working solidly on it since then. We understand the government has said all approvals should be granted by Friday. Please don't expect this. You need to be consulted on this plan (it has to be achievable for you), it needs to be submitted and approved by multiple levels of government and you need to implement this plan. Our team of volunteers has been working around the clock to make it happen and will continue to do so. There is no additional government body or dedicated government support creating these plans for us. Until yesterday, we'd been told the 12th of June which is already an unbelievably short time frame. What can you do to help we hear you say?... please spread the word and help correct misunderstandings, please encourage patience and when we get there (and we WILL get there), please thank our amazing professional volunteers!
