21.01.2022 Exercise is known for it’s obvious benefits; weight loss, toning and hypertrophy (physical appearance). While these are all great, we sometimes forget about the ‘invisible’ benefits, such as improved mental state/mood and decreasing the risk of poor health outcomes; diabetes, coronary heart disease, obesity and hypertension (1). Many studies have found that routine exercise is associated with greater outcomes of improved mental health and lower levels of emotional distress. W...hile the exact duration and intensity of exercise has not yet been determined, a study in 2008 (2) found that individuals who completed 20 minutes or more of daily exercise, achieved greater psychological benefits.
