23.01.2022 The Academy Racing Team would like to welcome it's Low Voltage Sub-system Director: I'm Tallis Coman and my role this year is heading up the low voltage side of the car's electrical sub-system. This involves interfacing the numerous sensors, information displays and control measures to feed in to the high voltage tractive system. My aim this year is to create a solid foundation on the low voltage side of the car from which the team may build upon moving into to the future, with a focus on developing the skills of our newer members in order to enable the team's progression in this unfamiliar realm.

22.01.2022 The Academy Racing Team is a UNSW Canberra team that competes in the Formula Society of Automotive Engineers (FSAE) Australasia Competition. The competition is ...open to university students and they spend all year designing and manufacturing a race car to compete against other universities in a variety of static and racing events. The team has around 20-25 members made up of Trainee Officers, Advanced Students and UNSW Canberra civilian students. It is an excellent opportunity to put engineering skills to practice while learning a lot about motorsport and having fun at the same time. See more

The Exercise was very successful and saw most team members having an opportunity to drive the vehicle. It was a fantastic chance to choose the drivers for the competition, who will now be able to focus on each of their events leading up to the competition. Stay tuned over the next few days for more content from the weekend on the Academy Racing Facebook, YouTube and Instagram.

15.01.2022 On Sunday the 4th of August, Academy Racing attended the Southern District Motorsport Association (SDMA) Queanbeyan Hillclimb event. AR came 7th overall out of 67 drivers, with SP18 setting a fastest time of 47.78 seconds! The event was a huge success and a great training opportunity for the team. I am quite excited for what challenges this year may have in store for the team and can't wait to get stuck into this year.

10.01.2022 The team would like to pass on our thanks to VI-Grade for their continuing sponsorship support. VI-Grade simulation software enables the team to complete multiple simulations of our car design iterations and hone the design before heading into manufacture. 08.01.2022 Recently SAP produced this data overlay for driving footage of the car. This will be extremely valuable for training new drivers before they get behind the wheel and we hope to produce more videos with them just like this one in the future.

06.01.2022 Academy Racing would also like to welcome a new Technical Director, leading us through the development of the team's first ever EV: I'm Cooper Lawrance and I am the Technical Director for Academy Racing in 2021. Within this role I am in charge of all technical decisions that are made for the car. My main goal for this year is to get the team into the best possible position it can be for its future EV endeavours as this is a drastic yet welcomed shift in the teams direction.

05.01.2022 The Black Hawks usually have the airfield to themselves, but fortunately, SP19 was allowed to join them during Academy Racing's annual Competition Readiness Exercise. The team had an awesome time experiencing the aircraft up close and can't wait to return to the perfect runway surface for more driver training next year. #race #racing #fsaeparts #fsae #fsaeaus #fsaeaustralasia #adf
