24.01.2022 Today we had our Kids Cooking Workshop. Our Mini Chefs were under instruction of our Head Chef, Carl and produced some wonderful Muffins and Scrolls. Wa...lter presented some Magic Tricks whilst we waited for them to bake. Thanks everyone for coming along again. We look forward to bringing you our last workshop for the Holidays, which will be our Rock Painting and Hunt on Friday.

13.01.2022 Armidale City Men’s Bowls Results of game played last weekend. Mixed Pairs. P Bullen, D O’Connell defeated S Fuller, M South. No competition games set down for next weekend. Bowlers interested in playing Pennants in 2021 please place your name on the sheet on the notice board. Turkey Triples mixed social bowls will be played on Sunday 20th December, 9am. Gold coin donation. Winning team a Turkey each. Runners up a Chicken each. Nomination sheet is on the notice board.... Armidale City Women’s Bowling Club Notes All roads really led to the Guyra Bowling Club on Tuesday November 24, 2020 where Association day was celebrated. All clubs within the New England District were represented with teams from Bendemeer, Walcha, Uralla, Ex-Service’s, Armidale City and of course Guyra. All bowlers were welcomed by the NEDWBA President, Nanette Jemmeson. After morning tea bowlers lined up for a spider and this preceded the one game of triples to finish at 12.00 pm. After a delicious lunch complete with fruit salad and ice-cream, bowlers were presented with badges to players who were lucky enough to have some competition games before Covid-19 commenced. A new innovation was introduced by District President Nanette who presented beautifully printed certificates signed by the State President for NSWBowls, Pam Andrich, to many long-time bowlers for their memberships with Women’s BowlsNSW. Names of those bowlers are: M Macgregor, 40 years, L Halloran 40 years, E Brunner, 46 years; D O’Connell and D Fuller 25 years, P Dade 20 years, M Chappell 10 years. D Jackson was recognised for 39 years and M Cameron was also recognised as a Patron and Umpire Educator. N Jemmeson was the instigator of these presentations and this is a first for New England. Well done Nanette. M Knight, S Stubbs play D Dougherty, N Jammerson. President verses the CEO mixed social bowls will be played on Sunday 15th November at 10am with a BBQ lunch. The Versatility Triples competition was played over several days but commenced with the triples on September 25, 2020, continued with the pairs on 29 September, 2020 and was finalised on October 2, 2020 with the Singles. Congratulations to the winners who were Betty Charter, Ila Myhill and Judy Hoenger. The runners-up on a count-back were Lucy Fullerton, Marge South, Dot Tremayne. A comprehensive coaching clinic for markers for singles games was held on Tuesday October 6, 2020 and NEDWBA President Nanette Jemmeson is to be congratulated for her expertise and willingness for club members to avail themselves of the skills of a competent marker. For instance, just say you were chosen to mark a State Singles match, would you be fully aware of all the things you needed to know? Would you know the correct way to indicate the distances between bowls and jack to the two players? Are you capable of knowing if the jack was thrown far enough? Have you got all the gear for marking and measuring the bowls? Do you know the correct way to answer all the queries from the two players without giving either one an advantage? All bowlers enjoyed and learned something from this exercise and appreciated the opportunity.
