12.01.2022 Meet your teachers Miss Elise, Assistant Principal of Accent on Dance has been teaching for 11 years. She started her dance journey with AOD when she was 8 years old, training in Royal Academy of Dance Classical Ballet, Modern, Jazz, Tap, and Hip Hop. Miss Elise has completed all RAD exams to Advanced 1 and has performed with AOD at Disneyland and countless Eisteddfods and Festivals. Miss Elise attended Newtown Performing Arts High School (NPAHS) for her senior years, com...pleting her HSC, where she received a Band 6 Majoring in Dance and HSC Call Backs for Core Composition (own choreography). During Year 12 she travelled to America with NPAHS, performing on stage and attending workshops at Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre, NYC, Martha Graham Dance Company, NYC, and many more. Miss Elise’s Tertiary training was at Brent St, attending their Full-Time Performing Arts course, where she performed and participated in workshops at Pulse Dance Festival, Las Vegas, USA, gaining a certificate IV in performing arts. The next year, she moved to New York City, USA, training at Broadway Dance Centre, receiving an International Certificate of Studies. Miss Elise has completed the Royal Academy of Dance Classical Ballet Teaching Studies. She is also a qualified anatomy, mat work, and pre and post natal Pilates teacher, receiving an Honourable Mention at Studio Pilates. Miss Elise holds qualifications as a Body Balance gym instructor and is currently distance studying her Bachelor of Education degree (K-6) & ADTA Acro Dance Instruction. See more
