05.01.2022 Wonderful to see Access Keys published in a discussion paper by Latrobe Community Health Service. The discussion paper profiles the lived experience of people with disability, as well as some ‘case studies’ of organisations or projects that are setting the standards for better access and inclusion. It also aims to raise awareness of the needs of people with disability and how the broader community can be more inclusive. Access Keys aim to empower people with disability to ma...ke informed choices on the suitability of venues and events as well as support them to attend with increased confidence and independence. Latrobe Community Health Service is a not-for-profit health service and an NDIS partner in the community in Sydney, Melbourne and parts of regional Victoria. Access Keys feature on page 22 of ‘Improving accessibility and inclusivity of people with disability in a community and mainstream setting’ paper. http://ow.ly/UVen50C2kQ9 #AccessKeys #disability #awareness #support #inclusion #publication #NDIS See more

04.01.2022 The phone is one of the main ways people stay in touch with friends, family and colleagues. It is also an effective business tool for organisations to extend their services and build relations with patrons through the sharing of information. Read our recent blog that showcases the National Relay Service (NRS) which is a government initiative that allows people who are deaf, hard of hearing and/or have a speech impairment to make and receive phone calls. It is free and confide...ntial service. For organisations that would like to become more accessible for people who are deaf, hard of hearing and/or have a speech impairment, you will find some very useful resources in our blog to refer to that will help you to understand this service. The service is for everyone and is available to friends, family and businesses that want to connect with the wider community of NRS users.
