18.01.2022 In response to the ongoing and changing Coronavirus environment, government advice and after much discussion, the Dylan Alcott Foundation (DAF) and Ability Fest... organising partners have decided its in the best interest of all event attendees, performers and volunteers to cancel Ability Fest 2020. Wed like to thank the ongoing support from patrons, generosity of our sponsors, artists and volunteers. Ability Fest remains my proudest achievement, however our number one priority is the health and safety of all attending and our artists. Thank you all for your support and understanding in our decision to postpone Ability Fest indefinitely. We will be back, but until then stay safe. Dylan Alcott OAM. Were incredibly grateful for the generosity from our major sponsors ANZ and NEC who have confirmed their financial contribution to Ability Fest will remain - allowing us to continue the work of the Foundation, helping young Australians with disabilities fulfill their potential and achieve their dreams. All patrons who have purchased a ticket will be contacted by Moshtix with options for a full refund, or complete order donated to DAF. DAF exists to help fast-track the dreams of young Australians living with disabilities, and donations to the Foundation enable us to carry out this purpose. FOR FURTHER ENQURIES PLEASE CONTACT: [email protected]

16.01.2022 Tomorrow 1pm, our MD, Mel Stehr is joining Ainslee Hooper, an Anthropologist and Disability Consultant for a one on one chat, during a live podcast to discuss all things accessibility and inclusion. Hit the link below and come join!

15.01.2022 Mel here. My eldest LOVED the wiggles when he was a little boy and the toughest time back then was waiting for the VHS to rewind.... yep, that far back. When I saw this post I knew that I had to share this from the Access for All Abilities page. The wiggles brought much joy to our household, and it's good to see they are still spreading happiness and connecting with 'little humans' today.

14.01.2022 Just watched this story this morning. These guys are awesome and the work they do is so incredibly important. Spread the word

13.01.2022 Meet Lindsay Moxon. Mel our MD started going to Lindsey from Movement is Freedom 2+ years ago for rehab after spinal surgery. 13.01.2022 It's been a long time between pages for some. With the easing of restrictions in Melbourne, and across Victoria, also comes the opening of some of our favourite community hubs. Programs will start to commence eventually so check website:- https://library.yarracity.vic.gov.au/ for details, or phone to confirm classes or programs. Plenty of online options if you are not quite ready to venture out. Changing Places Bathroom is onsite.

11.01.2022 Its vital to create the awareness from the start. That is - the planning stages of parks, schools, hotels, establishments of any sort. This where the importance of accessible needs to be recognised and considered. If you live in this Municipality and having accessible Access to the park is important to you, please partake. Sometimes even a little point, one single suggestion can make all the difference. #accessforall #accessiblebusinessissmartbusiness #everyonematters #accessibleparks #accessibleplay

11.01.2022 More than ever it is becoming increasingly important to do what we can to improve awareness and educate. Let those making the ‘impactful’ decisions, make them with a well-rounded, educated platform underneath them. Your view, experience, opinion, IS important. Too often decisions are made from a body of persons through speculation and letters on paper. If you are in this demographic, please partake. Invest for an improved future. ...
