22.01.2022 Laymens Terms - Ethernet Vs Wireless There are so many factors here that you can write a thesis on the advantages and disadvantages of both; and there are critics for both. If you are at home, searching the internet, using facebook, linkedin, youtube Wireless all the way. Reason is convenience.... If you are in the office, use Ethernet (likely a blue cable). Ethernet is all round significantly better. Better speeds to your email, servers, storage and no interference. Wireless is limited to speeds depending on your wireless card and interference. Ethernet is limited only to your NIC (Ethernet interface) which is either 100mb or 1Gbps If you are not already and in the office, plug in the blue cable and disable your Wi-Fi.
