25.01.2022 This is a beautifully executed video - understanding helps us know more and be better humans

24.01.2022 It’s the start of a new decade - happy 2020 from Champion F.I.T. Did you know exercise is able to buoy moods far more than most of us, including scientists, might have expected 10 years ago...physically active people proved to be much less likely to develop depression or anxiety than sedentary people, no matter what types of activities they chose. Walking, jogging, gardening, weight training, swimming, biking, hiking or even rising from an office or living room chair often ...and strolling across the room seemed to make people happier and less prone to mood problems than remaining still. If you have barriers to getting started on your journey into being more physically active to improving your mood and your wellbeing - contact Champion F.I.T. 24.01.2022 As a Fitness Australia Member this is a wonderful direction taken by a peak body to genuinely look at ways to support non-active people to be more involved in physically activity - thereby improving our individual, community and global health. Australia is a recent signatory to the World Health Organisations Global Action Plan on Physical Activity 2018-2030 and Fitness Australia will be advocating for more Australians to engage in integrated physical activity - that can take ...place in the places people live, work and play. As fully mobile service, who works with people experiencing barriers to being more physically active - Champion F.I.T. specialises in making it enjoyable, accessible and sustainable for everybody. 23.01.2022 Champion F.I.T will be at the Gap's Health and Wellness Expo - come along ask questions and find out what we are all about.

21.01.2022 According to information published by the World Health Organisation (2019) physical inactivity is estimated to cost the international community $54 billion in direct health care! 57% of this is cost is incurred by the public health system. Additionally, world wide it is estimated (conservatively) that $14 billion is attributable to lost productivity every year (WHO, 2019).... Imagine if all people could be included in sustainable, accessible physical activity - that suited their lifestyle and improved their physical, mental and emotional health. Physical activity helps not only to reduce the health costs to ourselves, our families and our communities but to society and our health system. Perhaps you know someone who is not active, or who has struggled to overcome the barriers to moving more, or who has faced challenges in getting and staying active. Champion FIT is a fully mobile service offering personal training, coaching and a tailored approach to your unique needs, to improve the health and wellbeing - through physical activity - of everyone.

21.01.2022 Did you know? According to the Council for Intellectual Disability (2019), people with intellectual disability die up to 27 years earlier than the general population, with 38% of deaths potentially avoidable. This is due to a range of physical and mental health inequalities which include: High rates of undiagnosed and poorly treated health conditions.... Low rates of health promotion and prevention. High rates of mental illness but poor access to mental health treatment. Twice the rate of hospital admissions. Service providers supporting people with disability need to recognise a person's right to be healthy and well - and assist and encourage people to access strategies that improve positive health outcomes. Champion F.I.T works with the community, people with disability and family, carers and other allied and general health providers to develop sustainable exercise habits (of the person's choice) designed to improve the person's physical health and mental wellbeing. Contact Champion F.I.T. today to talk about how we can support you or someone you know.
